Made these kabobs on the grill with Emeril's chicken apple sausage. If you partially cook the bacon in the microwave before threading on the skewers, it'll get crispier. Fantastic brunch item!

I'm not into really crisp breakfast meats, so I usually like to let my sausage and bacon cook right in the grease. But I tried this and it was quite good actually! I think this show has made me a less greasy breakfast meat convert! Thx for lowering my cholesterol FN!

The combination of bacon, sausage and bbq sauce was downright nauseating. Sorry. But that's the truth.

The combo of fat and sugar turned the kebob into a flaming torch on the grill!!

My whole extended family poked at these somberly, each one too polite to say how awful the kabobs were. But the plates returned to the kitchen, still weighed down with greasy sauce-covered breakfast meat, spoke volumes. :-(

nasty and greasy

This is a great way to get your family to eat less greasy breakfast meats! I used to try draining the fat after cooking, using paper towels, and using low fat sausages, but nothing worked! This recipe is the answer!

these taste better

This is such a healthy way to cook bacon and sausages because the grease drains off. I will use this method always now.

This was terrible

It was hard to get the bacon onto the skewers. The sauce dripped off and burned all over my grill pan, basically ruining it. Then no one would touch them.

Too sweet

the orange juice seemed to make it too sweet. We didn't like it and it wasn't very original.

Extremely Unappetizing
05/08/2006 at 05:03pm
User: Carlotta from Houston, TX    User Rating:
The fatty bacon and sausage combined with the sweet sauce and orange juice was extremely unappetizing mixture of grease and sugar. Plus, the suagry sauce burned all over the sausage. It was a BAD idea. I see no cheese in this dish, by the way. Not sure how cheese could have been incorporated, even if you were very clever.

really good!

I dont know how the other reviewers wound up with greasy kabobs....bacon is greasy but most people put it on pap-er towels after cooking. Not that hard to do! It was really good!
