This is an excellent dish. Vibrant, citrus and pesto flavors complement the fish. Spend the extra money on fresh swordfish and go lighter on the pine nuts and you'll have a perfect meal :)

I really enjoyed the pesto, but a personal preference; I would rather use a different fish as sword fish is a little dry to me.

When I made the sauce, though the flavor was there, it was way too liquidy...I couldn't even add olive oil. Next time I make this, and I suggest it to anyone who makes this, is to blend everything but the juices & oil first and then slowly add the liquids. Other than that, it was very flavorful.

This pesto is great to put on almost anything -- chicken, fish, etc. Swordfish is expensive, so I just use chicken or a cheaper white fish, like tilapia.

What an easy and absolutely delicious recipe! My husband and I are not the biggest fans of seafood, but I tried this recipe anyway. We enjoyed every bite. The Pesto was an excellent sauce. I guess Swordfish, Giada's Citrus Pesto Swordfish, will be a regular entree in our home. Thank you.

This dish was great. I grilled the swordfish on the outdoor grill but the real star is the pesto sauce. Wonderful flavor and the citris makes the sauce come alive. This can be used to top any mild flavored fish. I'll be bringing this dish to my brother's 4th of July cookout.

THIS RECIPE IS AMAZING!!! The pesto has a nice zing to it and its a great change for all pesto lovers like myself. It pairs really well with the fish. Instead of Swordfish Steaks I cut the fish up into kabobs and added some lemon pepper to the salt and fresh ground pepper. I grilled up the Kabobs and made some angel hair pasta. I mixed half the pesto into the pasta and topped it with the kabobs and then drizzled the rest of the pesto ontop of the fish. It was amazing. VERY VERY EASY AND GREAT FOR ENTERTAINING!! :) will make again and again and again!!!

I don't know if I didn't blend the oil in the pesto long enough before adding the cheese, but it was very oily and the cheese overpowered things a little too much... This is the first recipe I've made (from many) by Giada that I haven't absolutely loved...

The first time I made this, my husband flipped. Swordfish has always been a favorite and adding this fresh tasting pesto made it even better. I made enough pesto to use as leftovers for sauted shrimp with some angel haired pasta. Yum.

This was a great recipe and easy to make. I had never tried swordfish before and took a risk. I'm glad I did. The citrus pesto was tangy and rich, which, with the salt and pepper on the swordfish were a nice blend with the taste of the fish. Served with broccoli and garlic and a slice of grilled cibatta. Yummy

Even my picky dad and 3-year old loved it. Added to our Christmas Eve traditional Italian fish meal. The pesto gave it that special something. I marinated in fridge while cooking the rest of the meal.

I tried this on a Saturday evening. It was very easy to prepare and the cooking time was less than 40 minutes. The dish turned out to be excellent and everyone in the house loved it. My only complain is that the chef did not suggest a rice/pasta side with this dish. My wife prepared her original sticky rice, which paired quite good. I will highly recommend this recipe for all fish lovers.

We had a dinner party and served this dish with asparagus risotto and herb salad. It took about 1.5 hours to prep everything (there was a lot of chopping to do). Right before we sat down to eat I cooked the fish and tossed the salad in dressing. Everything was so flavorful and the dishes complimented each other nicely. I am keeping the recipe and will definitely make this again.

This pesto is fantastic! This recipe makes a lot of pesto. Beware - a little of the citrus goes a long way. If you're not a big fan of citrus, you might want to only use half of the what she calls for here.

I used previously frozen swordfish because I had bought it on sale, and as expected the meat was a little on the tough side. BUT, the citrus pesto brought a wonderful flavor to the fish that my husband and I really liked. I actually think I will try the sauce on another type of fish, as swordfish is not my all time favorite seafood. But overall, a really good meal!!

I really liked this pesto, altho i did make a few diff. due to cost and lack of fresh basil. I used more orange and lemon juices and zest, and i enjoyed the citrus flavor. I also did not put this directly on my salmon, but i stirred it into angel hair pasta. Quite tasty!! Topped with fresh parmesan,,,YUM

I havwe made a similar pesto for shark and tuna but the citrus really kicks it up a notch. Also great with chicken and keeps well in the fridge

Being a pesto fan, but not a fish fan, I was a little hesitant to try this one. But, like most of Giada's recipes, it was fantastic! I couldn't find swordfish in my supermarket, so used orange roughy & it went together nicely. I, too, had lots of pesto left over & used it the next night on grilled chicken & veggies. Wonderful! Definitely a keeper!

I made the pesto just as the recipe directed and it turned out wonderfully. I had about 2x as much as we needed but I am sure it will not go to waste. I think I can use it for other dishes as a substitute for normal pests as a refreshing change. It was not too watery once the grated parm cheese was added. I made it a few hours ahead of time and refrigerated it until 1 hour before use and it turned out great.

this was really good....I will make it again...next time I will double the lemon and skip the orange...the orange zest is too strong and bitter and lemon is a better match for garlic and basil....overall do make this..it is good and good for you

The pesto is absolutely delicious, but the measurements are vague enough to require a bit of tweeking. Mine came out way too wet, even though my orange wasn't very big, so I had to strain out some of the fluid and adjust the seasonings a bit. But it was definately worth it! All the rich earthiness of your favorite traditional pesto, with a bright zing of citrus. We used mahi mahi instead of swordfish. I think almost any mild, meaty fish would work well here. Definately a do again!
