I followed the recipe except I used a 14 pound bone-in prime rib, cooked it for 2 hours at 500 degrees in the oven, then another hour in the oven at 350 degrees. It came out just the way everyone in attendance liked it (but I would have prefered a little more pink in the middle). I really liked this, it was my first time ever cooking a whole prime rib.

I watched the way Michael prepared the prime rib on T.V. I did the same and mine came out horribly salty! Not the best recipe.

Totally awesome!

Scrumptious! Get a good piece of meat and be sure to allow it to become room temperature after seasoning. I let the meat sit out for three hours prior to grilling (when the meat starts cold in the middle it requires too much time on the grill). Then get the grill as hot as possible, brush the meat with the roasted garlic olive oil and allow each side to sear (do not move meat on grill!). Very easy, very dramatic looking and especially satisfying ? received rave reviews from our guests.

Prime Rib is very expensive. But I do believe that if you are going to have a STEAK. This is the ULTIMATE! A recipe that is above and beyond any that I have tried for ANY steak. Follow it step by step and you will be singing praises too..... Expensive but WELL WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have never cooked a steak fast on high heat, I was always into slow cooking on low heat. I tried this and fell in love.

Outstanding!!!!
