Nothing like the canned stuff 04/11/2007 at 03:40am User: Julie from Walnut, CA User Rating: I was looking for a way to use up our Easter ham besides Split Pea soup. Made the deviled ham and put it on toasted baguette slices. My four young kids devoured the whole batch. I didn't use all the hot sauce called for, but I was so tickled that they ate raw onions, parsley, mustard, etc. with such enthusiasm. This isn't anything like the canned stuff. deviled ham spread 04/10/2007 at 01:49pm User: Barbara from Mission Hills, CA User Rating: was just ok Adapted recipe for duck 02/27/2007 at 02:43pm User: robert from pocatello, ID User Rating: The deviled ham and cheese sandwich is an excellent recipe that is creamy, tangy, and easy to make. It has a wholesome flavor and is a good recipe with which you can experiment, and substitute ingredients as I did out of necessity, yet still be confident that you will end up with a good dish. Therefore, while looking for a duck recipe, I adapted this deviled ham recipe for duck. My duck recipe substituted the following: duck for ham; Dijon for prepared mustard; 1 tsp powdered onion for 1/2 cup onion; 1 tsp powdered parsley for 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley; mozarella for pepper jack cheese; and no maple syrup, paprika, mustard, salt or pepper. |
