These beans were a hit on the Fourth of July - not a single bean left uneaten. I put bacon bits on top instead of the pork shoulder. It was all good.

Easy crowd pleaser

This is a great recipe. Fast, easy and tasty. When I'm not cooking pulled pork, I substitute bacon instead. It couldn't be better!

Great recipe Butch!

This is the exact same recipe I have been using for years to make my baked beans. If no pork shoulder meat is handy, use bacon, it works great!

I loved these, but they were a little sweet for my husband, since the Bush's baked beans come sweetened. We didn't at the pork either. They were even better the next day I think.

Must make...

Very delicious. I had to substitute dijon mustard since that's all i had, and no pulled pork. Also I add a little more onion. It is absolutely delicious and is now served regularly at my house. Thanks!

This makes great baked beans. Here's a tip: make them a day or two before you plan to serve them. They get better with time.
