very suprised 10/02/2006 at 04:07pm User: mary from dania beach, FL User Rating: the choice to use soy sauce to brown the rice resulted in salty white rice. it's a easy recipe, and it did taste like fried rice, but it's more like soy flavored boiled white rice and i was very suprised that emeril would put his name on this dish. Classic Recipe 07/19/2007 at 04:19pm User: Megan from Longwood, FL User Rating: This fried rice recipe is super easy and results in perfect fried rice - just like at a restaurant. This is a very versatile recipe everyone should know. fun, easy, and delicious 06/24/2007 at 10:07pm User: nichole from Palm Harbor, FL User Rating: We loved this. I used raw onions, celery, and carrots, cooked until tender. My 7 year old helped, we all thought it was delicious. Great, easy recipe 05/26/2008 at 08:44am User: Grace from Essex Junction, VT User Rating: Left out the nuts, but delicious anyway! Next time I will add a little extra soy sauce. Slight modification... 04/01/2007 at 11:58am User: Catharine from Ada, OH User Rating: Modified this a little for convenience... Ok, I left out the green onions (I just don't keep them around), and substituted white onion cut into big chunks like the chinese restaurants do, I used frozen asian veg mix (juliened green beans, brocolli, and mushrooms) and frozen corn. I followed the instructions, but used only 1T of soy sauce b/c of the previous comment about the recipe being to salty and I used sesame cooking out and a dark sesame chili oil (super flavorful, use sparignly...). I left out the nuts... I thought they seemed unnecessary. |
