EXCELLENT....and made some alterations of my own

I added some onion in the beginning, and I did a full 28oz. can of tomatoes instead of 14oz. (Some reviews stated that it was too dry with only 14oz.) It was wonderful, and the next time I made it, I added some red wine to the sauce. DELISH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yumm!!

I have made this a few times. It is awesome and so easy. The only thing I cut down the amount of garlic and added a ladle of water from the pasta to the sauce as stated in the episode. This is a keeper!!

Yummy & a snap to make

This was just as quick & easy to make as it looked on TV, and was so good, even the kids liked it! We'll be making this one again.

Awesome and Quick

This was a great one for cooking up after work. It was fast, easy, and filling. Plus the ingredients didn't cost an arm and a leg. Finally I had something to do with those cans of garbanzos sitting in the cabinet.

Delicious and Nutritious

This dish is simple to prepare and very pleasing to the palette. It's chock full of nutritious ingredients which blend together in the most delightful way. The red pepper flakes add the perfect amount of "kick" to keep the tastebuds aroused. This meal is a refreshing twist to the traditional spaghetti dinner.

i didn't like it and my family didn't like it either.. it was too dry. don't know why, maybe i didn't put enough chicken broth in it.

Excellent Yummy & Healthy!

This is just delicious! The chickpeas give the sauce a creamy texture so that it almost seems like a cream sauce...minus the cream! I did had a few tablespoons of tomato paste to the sauce towards the end because it needed a bit of thickening. Other than that I wouldn't change a think and I will definitely make it again!

oh my gosh this is good!

This is incredibly easy to prepare and delicious. Because I love garlic and spicy foods, I was heavy handed with the amount of garlic and red pepper. One note-- a lot of people mentioned this was a touch dry. I think that may be because in the episode a ladle of pasta water is added to the sauce. The recipe does not have this step. I added the water and it makes the sauce "saucier".

Delicious

Thanks Rachael for another different and delicious recipe. For those of you who thought this dish was to dry try adding a little EVOO after it is done. This is a tasty and healthy recipe.

Super ez, super good!

I tried this recipe and even though it was different i liked the flavor of the recipe. I love to find quick and easy meatless dishes, however, the finished product was tasty but on the dry side.

Not our favorite

This was not our family's favorite. Pasta was too dry for our taste. Definitely more tomatoes were needed for us.

Over Eager Palate

User: BOBBY from Alpharetta, GA    User Rating:
Looking for something new I gave this a shot. I tried and tried but as I approach the bottom of the bowl I can only deem this dish worthy of two stars. In the overall breakdown I would give it three stars for ease of preparation and one star for taste. If you would like a sneak preview of what your end product will be once you finish cooking this; think of hot hummus with tomatoes. FYI Garbanzo beans and chick peas are the same thing.

Absolutely Delicious

This was fast and easy and with a flavor enjoyed by the whole family --I went easier on the garlic the required amount might have been too much--With the fresh parsley--the right green made it very eye appealing--topped witht eh grated cheese Molto delicioso!!!!!!

We liked it, didn't find it dry at all. My only complaint is that it was too spicy but we'll simply cut back on the red pepper flakes next time.

My new go-to

User: Anonymous    User Rating:
This is my new go-to meal when I'm not in the mood to cook anything. The ingredients are things that I've always got in the pantry, it's fast (only takes as long as the time to cook the pasta), easy, and comforting. I've noticed that a lot of people have complained about the amount of sauce - personally I thought it was perfect amount. If you added more sauce then you lose the taste of the pasta and chickpeas.

Love it!

My husband is a carnivore, but he'll eat this happily. He also apparently hates chickpeas, I haven't told him what's in this "surprise" pasta sauce yet ;0 It's so easy to prepare, and I always have the ingredients on hand.

Picky Husband Loved this

My husbands farorite meal is spagetti and meatballs. I get tired of the same old thing, so I tried this recipe with his meatballs. He loved it so much I am making it again only this time I am using grilled chicken instead of the fatty meatballs. This is so easy, very pocketbook friendly and DELISH!!! Thanks Rachael for another great go-to recipe.

I loved the chick pea addition but was not too crazy about the spices. There seemed to be a little too much garlic and not enough tomatoes.

I didn't enjoy this dish. I love chickpeas and hummus so I thought I'd like the flavor of this dish, but I didn't. It wasn't terribly disgusting, but I certainly won't be making it again. I'm a huge Rachael Ray fan, so I'll just make (and enjoy) her billion other delicious recipes!

I used 3/4 lb elbows, added 28 oz of crushed tomatoes (otherwise it would be too dry), and crushed 3/4's of the can of chick peas and added the the rest of the can whole. Delicious recipe!

better than sketti

I made this out of my new Rachael Ray cookbook, as I need a way to add protein to pasta dishes for my daycare kids. This was a total hit, and it even got the review 'better than sketti' from a normally picky toddler. Super easy and pocket-friendly too.

Great Pantry Pasta

Super fast and super easy. I used wine, fresh thyme and diced tomatoes. A ladle of water is KEY. A great meal that is quicker and tastier than fast food even after a 14hr day...

With the exception of my son (who will eat anything), we all agreed that this dish was not very good. We didn't care for the flavor, texture or appearance of this dish and found it to be rather dry and tasteless. It seemed like a lot of work for very little result.

Another awesome wednesday night dinner!

User: Jen from vero beach, FL    User Rating:
I like to make pasta on wednesday nights so I thought I would give this a try as it was yesterdays recipe of the day. It is totally delicious and had a great gourmet taste for a frugal price. Its ultra healthy and a good diet food if you use whole wheat pasta. Use the wine (I used chardonnay) instead of broth and I subbed a mixed italian seasoning for the thyme (I was out!). I had read the reviews and doubled the crushed tomatoes as suggested by another user- this is a must! My picky husband and two year old LOVED it! This one will become part of the permanent collection of favorite recipes! GO RACHAEL!
