As a New Orleans native with a passion for great cooking, I tuned in to the Jambalaya Throwdown with interest. Personally, I do a Creole (as opposed to Cajun) jambalaya that's pretty tasty (I'll see if I can post it here). While I've gotten some great recipes and cooking ideas from Bobby, his approach to Creole jambalaya was closer to paella and literally painful to watch.

Spactacular

I felt that he flavor was great. Maybe use a little more liquid. The Preperation part of the dish vary easy for me I also felt it to be enjoyable. I think in the presentation was excellent; however I still would like a little more liquid or soupy.

too expensive to make

Very involved recipe, but good results. Be careful of letting the rice get too dry. Also, I don't think it needs all of the garnishes it calls for!

packed with flavor!
