I have had other chocolate pecan pies in the past, so I was looking forward to trying this one. I made it for Thanksgiving and it was not what I was expecting. First of all, there was too much filling. Second of all, the way everything was blended together made everyone think I burned the pie. I had to keep explaining that it was just chocolate. Third, the taste was not as good as other recipes. The filling poured over the peacans made it not mix as well and since the chocolate was unsweetened, there were some very bitter pecans on the top. I would not recommend this version. I brought home almost two uneaten pies.

This pie rocks! I have been making it for a few years now. Everybody loves it. It has replaced my mother's regular pecan pie that nobody really ate. Thank you Tyler!

The pie was good but seemed more like a brownie in a pie crust than a pecan pie. I didn't taste the bourbon at all and I even put in an extra teaspoon (I emptied the bottle).
