As a college student who's only claim is to baking, it took me little time to make these spiced nuts and they turned out delicious. My whole family enjoyed them so much, I am in need of making more!

They didn't stay crunchy, and were more of a pain than anything.

These were a soggy mess when I tried to fry them. Yes, I checked the temperature of the oil. I ended up roasting them on a greased cookie sheet for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees and they were great.

Disappointing

These looked so good on the show so I made two batches. The cayenne pepper is too overpowering. Didn't like at all.

This is a good recipe and I like the turn out but my whole house was very smokey. I had to open the windows and turn several fans on.

Very easy; recipe is precise. I found that more spices were needed, esp. sweet ones.

A complete pain to make for a so-so product. It looked so easy on TV! I must have used every bowl in the house making this and had to open every window in my house to air out the fry smell.

When I saw this on TV recently, I almost fell off my chair. This is almost a 'twin' recipe of one I've been using of Michael C's for sev'l years--"spiced candied walnuts" and boy are they great. I haven't tried this recipe, but in a way I have--this one uses cocoa, the other one doesn't, other than that, they're made the same way...and I can attest to the fact that this snack gets rave reviews from everyone that tastes them...me too. A great holiday treat worth making and messing up your kitchen for! Try it.
