It doesn't thicken at all in 5 min. cooking, nor do the carrots, celery, or onions get cooked. We thought I made a mistake in directions but I followed it exactly. Won;t make this again. Now I have left overs of the leftovers.............. I would make this again 11/25/2007 at 01:29am User: Michelle from Aiea, HI User Rating: I omitted the bay leaves, and followed Rachel Rays's recipe by adding 1/2 cup of cream, 1 egg yolk and 2 tbl sour cream to the mashed potatoes and then sprinkled the whole thing with paprika. I reduced the cooking liqued to 1 1/2c and I also added about 1 heaping TBS of cornstarch right before I put it in the oven. I also cooked the veggies longer. It was so great my whole family loved it and the texture was fantastic:) |
