A Tasty Winner for All Occasions 12/02/2007 at 11:31am User: Jennifer from Thousand Oaks, CA User Rating: I have 2 teenagers, and they have teenage friends. This tasty treat has been a winner whenever the house is full and the kids are hungry. I have a Magic Bullet and have adapted the recipe somewhat so that the kids can quickly make this themselves and clean up quickly. The most common reaction to this milkshake is "What's in this? Can I have the recipe?" This was really good!! 12/01/2006 at 04:25pm User: LIZ from Dix Hills, NY User Rating: If you like milkshakes, you must give this a try. I added the cream cheese icing because I was curious to see what it tasted like. It wasn't bad but I will leave out the next time. Other than that, we loved it. cinnamon roll milkshare OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! 11/28/2006 at 08:50pm User: KATHY from South Milwaukee, WI User Rating: This is so unbelieveably good just don't think about all the calories. Tastes just like a cinnamon roll and it's great even without the cream cheese frosting (also helps cut calories a little). Have made it twice already and stocked up on cheesecake flavored jello for when the craving strikes!!! Great shake! 11/07/2007 at 01:16pm User: Christine from Joy, IL User Rating: This shake is awesome! What a novel concept...cinnamon roll flavor. The only drawbacks were that it was so extra-sweet and rich, almost to the point that you couldn't make yourself take that final few sips when you get down to the hunk of cream cheese frosting in the bottom of the glass, but we managed! And ours turned out runnier than we normally like our milkshakes. We first tried it using regular cheapo vanilla ice cream, so as not to waste money on ice cream just for the shakes, but they turned out very runny. Then we tried it again using "Schwan's" brand vanilla, which has always been a very "hard" ice cream, thinking that it would make the shakes thicker. Still pretty runny, but not enough to keep us from making it again! I didn't have cream cheese on hand, so used prepared canned frosting, which was just fine. I think also that the next time we make this recipe, I will let the pudding set longer before adding it to the shake...maybe that will help to thicken the consistency. Overall, I would recommend this treat if you really want to indulge yourself in something extra sinful and delicious! Sweet Treat! 09/11/2007 at 06:30pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I have made this twice. The first time, I made the full-fat version as written and my husband and I loved it but we were moaning in pain afterward because of the richness. The second time, I used sugar-free, fat-free Jello Cheesecake pudding prepared with 1% milk and light ice cream. I omitted the cream cheese icing and instead topped it with a squirt of light whipped cream. Of course, it still had a lot of sugar from the caramel sauce, cinnamon sugar and ice cream, but it lightened it up enough to where I didn't feel like I was dying after consuming it. And it was still just as sinful and delicious tasting as the original. Give it a try! REALLY GOOD!! 09/05/2007 at 02:08pm User: Mary from Joplin, MO User Rating: I tryed this milkshake using Sugarfree pudding, icecream, topping, and splenda and cinn mixed togeather, Then I used sugerfree coolwhip instead of the creamcheese icing and it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD.So if your Diabetic you can still have this shake. We didn't miss the sugar. Will make again. Thanks. They loved it. not that good! 06/17/2007 at 03:41pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This recipe is not that good. It might be better without the icing and the pudding. Too much sugar 05/07/2008 at 12:51am User: alex & andrea from maple valley, WA User Rating: This was way too sweet. I felt sick after having half of a small portion. I could not finish it. It is delicious and a great change from the regular old vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry that I usually make. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe. Yuck! 01/08/2007 at 02:25pm User: Allyson from Nashville, TN User Rating: This was not up to Paula's usual standards. I have to admit it didn't sound that great, but I gave it a try anyway. Big Mistake! The cream cheese icing (which I love) was just too much. I wish I had saved my sweet calorie allotment for something better. |
