Very good and rich - peppermint was very overpowering, so I only added a splash instead of equal parts.

So very yummy!

The first time we made the drinks, it was a little too strong for me. So, at a different party, I didn't put the full 1 oz of vanilla rum and it was perfect!! Just add a tiny bith less than the 1 oz. Everyone loved them! including my 78 year old mother in law! :) and, they still made me a little happy!! :)

Got raves on Christmas!

We really liked this drink, especially the ladies and those who like peppermint. It is a great drink for the holidays. However, I did use vanilla vodka some don't care for rum) and I made two drinks, rather than one. I love the idea of crushing peppermint for the rim, although I did hang little candy canes from the edge and it was very pretty. There were wows and "Can I please have another" from several people. Thanks, Sandra!

Strong, but good

My mom made this recipe for Christmas last year. It was delicious! My sister and I loved it, but we only had one because it is very potent!

Replace Rum

If you replace the vanilla rum with vanilla vodka this drink is really good! I agree that as is, it tastes way too strong, so from now on, I will make it with vodka instead!

Needs tweaking...

A little too strong, some mods recommended

This tasted very nice, but it was incredibly strong. I stretched it with a bit of light cream, and that worked pretty well to tone it down. You can also make it into a sort of slushee kind of drink by blending it with some light cream and ice, and maybe some peppermint pieces.

WOW,potent

Not a bad flavor, but a little stronger than I expected. After just one drink I was ready for a nap.Not a drink that I would consume a large amount of.

I had one last night at a party

I didn't know it had 3 shots in it. I can tell you, it was strong. Consider cutting back the serving size and let your guests know it is strong.

very sweet and very strong

Needed a mixer to cut the sweet and alcohol. I would scale back on the peppermint

heavy and extremely sweet

I did not think it was repeatable. Very strong also. Made for a dangerously potent drink. If you do serve this, you may want to scale down the serving size. Maybe make two or three drinks from one recipe.

Delicious

i'm not what you'd call a seasoned drinker so take this review with a grain of salt, BUT..... yikes! 1 shot of this, 1 shot of that, 1 shot of the other..... holy moly......that was a lot of shots! i tried it a second time with a shot of vanilla rum, shot of white chocolate liquor and 1/2 shot of peppermint schnapps... was much better for my taste..........

It tasted nothing lke a candy cane

If we had to pick one of the 3 drinks here, we all agreed it would be the frosty one. But it is more suited for summer. I am not crazy about frozen drinks in the winter season.

Perfect for a holiday party

I served this at my investment club christmas party because we own the company (DEO) that makes Godiva liqueur and several other "spirit" companies. Everyone liked! Careful though, very powerful. One drink will do ya!

We made these for New Year's and thought they were delicous. You MUST like peppermint, however, because they are very minty. Instead of hanging the peppermint stick on the glass, we crushed up candy canes and rimmed the edge with it. Looked beautiful and tasted sweet--very festive!

I added a bit more white chocolate and cut back a bit on the schnapps based on previous comments and it came out great.
