EVER Simple but great recipe 11/24/2007 at 11:38am User: Anonymous User Rating: All of my guests loved these cookies to the point where one actually had a dream about them! Nice and Chewy 10/14/2007 at 04:16pm User: Janet from St. George, UT User Rating: This is just the kind of chocolate chip cookie that I like. I did bake them less time than specified, more like 10-12 minutes, since we like them chewy. I was a little short on the amount of chocolate chips and so substituted a 1/2 cup of butterscotch chips which we liked a lot. I am replacing my old stand-by recipe with this one. Great Cookies! 08/08/2007 at 04:29pm User: carole from sarasota, FL User Rating: I make these all the time, and they are really wonderful. I use 3/4 brown sugar and 3/4 cup of white, which equals to the total sugar in the recipe. My grandkids think that they are "awesome"!!!! Great cookie! Now..make it thicker!! 07/24/2007 at 11:00pm User: Anonymous User Rating: The cookie itself is a GREAT ONE! Just like my grandmothers when I was growing up! And just like hers, these are FLAT! Think frisbee disk flat! I use three cups of flour along with ensuring that all other necessary items are at room tempature to make sure all can combine well! Again, give 'em a try, YOU WILL LOVE THEM! Really are the best 06/25/2007 at 11:26pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I have tried dozens of different recipies for chocolate chip cookies and these are by far the best yet. Definitely the best! 05/27/2007 at 01:32pm User: Juli from Rome, GA User Rating: I've tried many, many chocolate chip cookie recipes and this one is by far the best. I love the crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. Wasted ingredients 05/14/2007 at 01:10pm User: Bob from brooklyn, NY User Rating: Followed recipe to a T, used cooking spray to grease sheet. Correct temp, oven reliable. Complete mess and waste of top quality ingredients. best cookie ever...really 04/24/2008 at 07:01pm User: Le from Fort Worth, TX User Rating: i made this cookie for the first time, and it was delicious. the recipe is easy, and adding extra chocolate chips makes it even better. Perfect Cookies 03/14/2007 at 11:37am User: MEGAN from Vancouver, WA User Rating: The secret to this recipe is only baking them for 10-11 minutes then taking them out; once they cool they are very soft and plyable (better than the best store-bought)! ok. 02/26/2007 at 10:23pm User: Jackie from Herndon, VA User Rating: These were decent, but not the "best chocolate chip cookie ever". They weren't really chewy enough for my taste..kinda crumbly and hard and crunchy. In all fairness, my parents and boyfriend loved them though, so I can't give them a bad rating. Just So-so. a tip for 'mooshy" cookies 02/24/2007 at 03:42pm User: PATTI from la mesa, CA User Rating: This recipe is very much like Martha Stewart's "Alexis" cookies. My kids call these "Cow Pie Cookies", especially if you make them larger. To make the really soft in the middle (these or any other cookie) about five minutes into the baking time, open the oven and lift the edge of the cookie sheet and drop it on the oven shelf. If the cookies are pretty thick, you may need to do it again. Repeat the process in about another minute or so. It makes the cookies "fall" in the center and stay nice and gooey. Good Food 02/24/2007 at 03:37pm User: Lee from Cookeville, TN User Rating: Sounds Like a Good Idea. Good flavor! 02/03/2008 at 06:59pm User: Ann from Farmington, MN User Rating: My cookies didn't come out like in the picture... but they are yummy. They aren't as thick as the cookies I usually make, but the flavor is good. I was able to get away with only baking for 10 minutes. Not so great 01/29/2008 at 01:57am User: Anonymous User Rating: The cookies, I thought, were rather a bit too rich. THey were too salty and the dough was not bland enough to balance out the chocolate. I thought they were too rich, they gave me a stomach ache also. Soooooooo Gooooood!!! 01/27/2007 at 09:59pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Oh MY GOD!! These cookies were sooo good. They were crispy yet chewy in the middle and so decedent. These cookies are so good Homer would just love them! You have to follow the recipe exactly. Try them. one of the best 01/19/2007 at 04:17am User: Mina from Van Nuys, CA User Rating: Very good but very sweet tasty! 01/15/2007 at 01:03pm User: rebekah from lancaster, PA User Rating: I've tried this recipe a few times, and mine always turn out fluffier than the picture. I keep thinking they'll be chewier. They taste delicious though, and my favorite variation is: go easy on the sugar (1 c. brown, scant 1/2 c. white), add 10 oz. of butterscotch chips and 10 oz. flake coconut. Beautiful cookies! 01/06/2007 at 04:58pm User: C from Greeley, CO User Rating: This recipe worked very well at high altitude (5000 feet). They were very tasty and a lit of fun to make. Finally found the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe 01/01/2007 at 06:54pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I have been searching for a recipe where the choc chip cookie was not too cakey. This is it. Crunchy overall, with a hint of softness in the middle. Thank you! |
