Easy Fix 12/29/2006 at 02:41pm User: Katherine from Mansfield, TX User Rating: I made this recipe with almond bark instead of chocolate chips so I could make it in the microwave. Easy, easy, easy to make and really pretty. Everyone loved them. Beautiful! 12/23/2006 at 01:57pm User: Anonymous User Rating: These are not only beautiful they are good. I made these with different spinkles and different chocolates and put 4-6 in bags tied with a gold ribbon. I kept them by my front door and gave them away as gifts to everyone who came. pretzels 12/20/2007 at 01:22pm User: Anonymous User Rating: perfect gifts 12/19/2007 at 08:47am User: Angela from Mount Pleasant, MI User Rating: I'm a big sis home from college, and I made these pretzels for my little brother's teacher Christmas gifts. They turned out great - especially when you don't want to waste too much time and money on a very nice homemade present. I just heated the chocolate (white and milk choc.) in a double boiler and used a spoon to coat the pretzel. I would have had to melt a LOT of chocolate to be able to just dip it right in there. While I was at it, I just decided to do chocolate-covered oreos. The white ones I coated in red and green sugar. They were a perfect side to the pretzels! So much FUN! 12/18/2007 at 12:02am User: Monica from San Diego, CA User Rating: These were a blast to make! So easy and just plain fun. I only made one bag and took them to work. Everyone loved them. Awesome 12/16/2006 at 03:44pm User: Anonymous User Rating: These pretzels are amazing. They make perfect gifts for teachers. THANX!!!!!!!!!!! chocolate pretzels 12/10/2007 at 03:27pm User: Rick from Lompoc, CA User Rating: So fun and easy, what an excellent idea for the entire family to try! Terrific holiday idea 12/08/2007 at 07:31pm User: Shilpa from Houston, TX User Rating: I didn't have a double boiler and the contraption I rigged up (a stoneware ramekin on top of a metal cookie cutter in a large pot of boiling water) failed miserably. Probably because the steam got into the chocolate which caused it to solidify. Live and learn :-) Some ideas: I used microwave-safe tupperware containers and microwaved the chocolate at reduced power 45 seconds at a time, stirring each time. That worked really well! I used pretzels that are the traditional shape and dipped them flat against the chocolate. Didn't have wax paper, used foil with a little baking spray on it. I also used white chocolate and semisweet chocolate. Then I got gifts from Ross, which has really cheap good "containers" like a wooden box that looks like a book or office desk accessories like leather cup holders. I wrapped the pretzels in tissue paper and put them in the containers. My friends loved them! Simple but festive 12/01/2007 at 04:28pm User: kathy from jacksonville, FL User Rating: You can make these so quickly with white or dark chocolate and decorating items you already have on hand. Pretty and Yummy! 11/26/2007 at 12:16pm User: Chenille from Hendersonville, TN User Rating: :) fun with pretzels 04/26/2007 at 10:19am User: chance from arvada, CO User Rating: a fun way to do somthing for with the children i love it 04/17/2007 at 08:44pm User: amanda from succasunna, NJ User Rating: i think this recipe was a great idea!!! my friends loved the pretzel. :) ;) Hints 04/06/2007 at 07:17pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Delicous, but alot of the chocolate gets wasted. Make sure you use a fairly deep pan, a good idea for the extra chocolate is to dip Oreos into it. Great Give-away Treats 01/03/2007 at 12:52pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I hosted a post Christmas dinner with a few of my girlfriends and this treat give-away was a hit. This recipe couldn't be any easier!! |
