This is a GREAT recipe. I like a bit more nutmeg in it, but other than that - perfect.

I don't usually do kale or collard recipes because I only find them just ok tasting even though my husband likes greens. I decided to try this one and I LOVE it and will make this at least weekly! As Rachel says: YUMMO! I used regular ham instead of pancetta b/c I had that on hand and I used a mix of parm/reg/asiago cheese with panko bread crums. Wow!

PERFECT...so simple, robust taste

While I only had bacon available to me it worked well. This dish was a hit with my family, whom are not fans of vegetables.

Easy, Great and Unhealthy!

This was a delicious recipe. I'm not a huge kale fan but this was great. My only problem with it is that it is loaded with cream and pancetta. It would be good for a special dinner but probably not good for your heart frequently! It's definitely a keeper. Maybe next time I'll try a substitute for the cream.

Wonderful

I do not eat greens of any kinds, but I always try to choke them down on New Years Day. When I saw this recipe, I thought, it couldn't be that bad. It is wonderful. I have given this recipe to friends and family alike and they all say how delicious it is.

This was my first time ever making kale and I couldn't believe how easy it was to make. Everyone loved the dish. I used bacon since I did not have any pancetta. I would skip adding the salt in the recipe next time as the dish came out a bit too salty for my taste. Otherwise, it was a hit!

Great recipe, but it tasted a little "dirty". I will use fresh organic kale next time.

Our family eats a lot of kale greens, particularly in the summer time, when the veggie garden is blooming. By August, I'm sick of greens! This was a wonderful change of pace.

WOW this is good!

I followed this recipe fairly closely, except I think the bunch of kale I bought was more than 1.5 lbs., and I used 1/2 & 1/2 instead of cream. The cream reduced very quickly, so it was fairly dry, but it did not detract from the great taste. It really took less than 30 minutes. I baked some chicken while I prepared the kale and it was all done at the same time and was a complete dinner. Two of us ate about 3/4 of the dish, but the leftovers were wonderful reheated for lunch the next day. I highly recommend this recipe. It was a great change of pace and super tasty.

Great recipe

I purchased my kale at a local market. I had no idea it was on the produce shel The texture was chewy IF I make it again I'll opt for organic kale The flavors were good

This recipe was very good. My husband and I are members of a C.S.A. in Salt Lake City, and we have been getting a lot of greens, so I've been on the hunt for recipes. I used collards (I increased the boiling time) and bitter greens of all kinds. I baked this instead of broiling it, so I think my version is more like a 45 minute meal. Ths is a great use of any kind of green. Definately try it.

great with the garlic butter sliced steak

This recipe is not only very simple, but delicious. The only issue I have is pancetta is next to nonexistant in rural americal. Pork fat is port fat, more or less, I substituted my favorite bacon with good results.

If you have a need for anything, feed your family this dish and your husband will fall in love all over again and the kids will volunteer to clean up and take out the trash! Don't bother to tell them it's Kale and they won't care.

Amazing - even my 5 year old loved it...

Fixed this for our traditional New Year's Day dinner and 'Yum-O!' I ahd all the ingredients on hand, thanks to Rachel's "Express Lane" cookbook. Very easy and unbelievably tasty. I will never go back to boiling my collards or kale or mustard greens again!

I made this dish on Christmas Eve and it was very popular with everyone in my family. I made it with bacon instead of pancetta, but it was still delcious and the smokey flavor was a hit! Definitely worth making again!
