I made the sauce as directed and used cubed pound cake and halved cherries instead of the figs. Worked great and he wants to have it at our next dinner party. Also, I didn't have any cooking pistachio's at home so I shelled some roasted/salted pistachio's! We loved them on top!!! My only advice would be to either drain the yogurt of some of the extra fluid, or use thicker greek yogurt. The extra liquid thins out an already watery yogurt. Also, it's hard to find figs year round for this dish, which is why I would give it four stars. |
