Simple, but great flavor! 07/16/2008 at 09:22pm User: Tammy from Pensacola, FL User Rating: These are so tasty and easy. They have so much flavor, you don't need to add condiments. Yummy!! 04/25/2008 at 08:24pm User: Jennifer from Londonderry, NH User Rating: Ok so I added flavor to the recipe as well. I haven't liked turkey burgers in the past because they weren't flavorful. I combined most of the seasoning suggestions(italian seasoning, dried onions, garlic powder, sprinkle of paprika and some italian breadcrumbs). I did one burger with sharp cheddar cheese & the other with feta cheese. I liked mine the best.Hubby liked his and said for a turkey burger it wasn't bad. Picky daughter ate her's cut up & liked it. It's a keeper!! Yummy! 04/05/2008 at 07:52pm User: Anonymous User Rating: We substituted Feta for Mozzarella and they turned out great. With a little tweaking...everythings delicious! 04/01/2008 at 09:12pm User: Nakia from Bowie, MD User Rating: I saw this recipe today and went straight to the grocery store after work. I used Italian seasoned Turkey Meat so the meat would have an interesting flavor to it; I also prepared mine on the grill for that charcol taste. I had to roast my own red peppers, I couldn't find them in the store. I sprinkled some Adobe seasoning, black pepper, garlic powder with parsely, sea salt and this great seasoning, Nature's Seasoning...it was great. Oh and I used fresh mozzarella. D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! Fabulous Burgers 02/05/2008 at 12:14pm User: Amy from San Jose, CA User Rating: I have made this recipe twice now and both times it got rave reviews. I added some garlic powder, onion salt and italian seasoning to the turkey meat, but besides that followed the recipe. I had some South Beach dieters over the other day and rather than serve it on a bun, served it with a tomato, red onion, basil, oil & red vinegar salsa. Was great! Very tasty! 01/22/2008 at 11:10pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Loved the recipe. Served the burgers on whole grain buns with lettuce, tomato and onion. They were delicious! This is a keeper! Perfect as is! 01/11/2008 at 07:04am User: Erica from Maricopa, AZ User Rating: I was skeptical. The recipe requires little seasoning, and ground turkey can be a bit bland. I stuck to the recipe and was not at all dissapointed. The cheese and the peppers keep it flavorful and juicy. Even my five year old loved it. Very flavorful! 01/10/2008 at 08:50pm User: Sarah and Jeremy from Columbus, OH User Rating: Very easy and flavorful!! Delicious! 12/23/2007 at 07:22am User: Anonymous User Rating: Loved the recipe. Delicious, quick and easy. I added garlic powder since I always add it to my burgers and roasted veggies. It works great here. Awesome 11/07/2007 at 07:54pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Really great burgers. I made them with the sweet potatoe fries and it was a fantastic dinner. Keep giving us more of these great and healthy recipes!!! A new favorite 09/08/2007 at 09:23am User: Anonymous User Rating: This has become one of my favorite recipes!! It is so flavorful! I used 99% lean ground turkey, which can be dry...so to add moisture, mix a little minced onion with the turkey before you make the patties. It adds great flavor too!! I also minced a little sun-dried tomato to put inside the burger. You would never know this is so healthy!!! Great Idea...Needs More Flavor 08/28/2007 at 04:22pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I loved this idea but I added a ton of Italian seasoning to spice it up a bit. With no seasoning it's a little too bland. Good & simple 08/03/2007 at 06:22pm User: Krista from Huntington Beach, CA User Rating: I loved how simple this recipe was, yet the roasted peppers and mozarella gave it a great flavor. I added seasoned salt and paprika to give it a little more flavor. Awesome! 07/25/2007 at 04:16pm User: Allison from Lubbock, TX User Rating: This was probably the best homemade burger I've ever had, not to mention healthier than a traditional beef burger. The only thing I changed up was adding some paprika to the ground turkey along with the salt and pepper. Juicy, flavorful, and absolutley perfect! Yum! 07/05/2007 at 09:41am User: Jackie from Walpole, MA User Rating: This was really good. Definitely perked up the turkey burger! My husband wants me to try with onions and cheddar next time - in order to try other things. It was fun having all that melted mozzarella - like eating pizza! light and flavorful 06/26/2007 at 12:10pm User: Anonymous User Rating: add a little italian bread crumbs to the turkey for some extra flavor, otherwise a great meal that's a crowd pleaser without the fat of beef. great burgers 06/06/2007 at 08:04pm User: TRACY from Orange Park, FL User Rating: I couldn't decide whether I should jazz these burgers up with spices etc. Finally, I just made the recipe as it stated and we loved these burgers! So very tasty. When I make turkey burgers, this is the one I will make again. really good 04/15/2007 at 01:52pm User: Anonymous User Rating: flavorful, used skim mozzerella to make healthier also wheat buns. Made w/ sweet potato fries Good to the last bite ! 04/11/2007 at 10:17pm User: Anonymous User Rating: The burgers were juicy and delicious , did not feel like I was eating a low cal. meal .Thanks Food Network for your great ideas. Delicious 04/11/2007 at 12:57pm User: Susan from Central Square, NY User Rating: These burgers were delicious. I have had turkey burgers in the past and found them to be dry. Not the case with this recipe. I mixed in dehydrated minced garlic, ground red pepper and onion powder before forming the patties. Juicyyyy 01/23/2007 at 02:16pm User: Lathonia from Houston, TX User Rating: Very good flavor. Juicy. Great Turkey Burger! 01/13/2007 at 10:34pm User: Anonymous User Rating: The cheese really helps this be a moist burger even though it's turkey. I used red pepper flakes and it was a nice zip. Next time I will mix some spicy creole or steak seasoning into the meat before making the patties just to give it a touch more flavor. A fantastic healthy substitute!!! Best Turkey Burger 01/07/2007 at 09:54pm User: Damitia from Wichita, KS User Rating: The roasted peppers really make this burger pop. It is the most flavorful turkey burger I have ever tasted. |
