Very good -- but cut back on garlic

I had doubled the recipe to make a second batch to share at work. I doubled all ingredients except for the garlic. I still only used four (average sized) cloves. The hummus got rave reviews, but was VERY garlicy for most. I'd recommend using only half of the garlic that is called for unless you're a garlic lover.

Not Bad

The recipe is not bad, but I added a few other seasonings to spice it up. I like a little heat, so a little cayenne was tossed into the mix along with some smoked paprika. This is a great recipe to doctor up.

Yummy!

This was not only easy but terrific! Very fresh tasting. I will be serving it again....this time at work during our 1st "hummus" sharing party. :)

Next time I make this recipe I will use way less garlic 3 cloves was just too much. If you try this recipe start with one. Emerils recipe for calls for 3/4 tsp with almost all the other ingredients the about the same.

Made this when I had a houseful of guests for an afternoon snack. Nobody could believe it wasn't store bought. I only added a little red pepper flake to spice it up a little. I made a double batch and served the pita chips and fresh veggies too. Thanks Robin~

I added some EVOO and made the texture more to my liking. Next time I will only add half the amount of tahini...that much gave it a bitter taste. I used roasted red peppers that you buy in a jar and they were delicious. Overall, I liked this hummus and would make it again. The salted toasted pitas were great with it.

My Husband loved the flavor my 11 year old daughter even liked it and her best friend. I liked the flavor but I did not like the texture of it, I am not a fan of Hummus though.

Hummus was just okay. Sesame paste seemed more dominant than I would have liked.

Yummy!!!

I couldn't find tahini in my local store, so I made the hummus without it - it's still great!

I made this for my father's 81st birthday gathering. The entire family loved it from a 3 year old to 81 year old. A huge success!! FYI. Make more pita triangles...your group won't get enough!

When I bought the Tahini they asked me at the grocery store what I was using it for. I said I was making hummus and didn't know if it would be good or if I'd end up throwing it away. I love it!!! I'm going to take them a copy of the recipe. On the Pita Bread I rubbed one side with a cut garlic clove then sprinkled with salt and cracked pepper. It is so good and smells so good. What a great healthy snack.
