Great pork tenderloin but 07/11/2008 at 02:32pm User: Jan from Diamond Bar, CA User Rating: LOVED the pork tenderloin, but the fried rice was a disappointment. Great Homemade Food 12/21/2007 at 08:49pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I have never been able to find a good fried rice recipe. I live in an area that does not have a good chinese restaurant. Guy, please come up with some more Asian recipes. Sheer Perfection! 11/19/2007 at 09:39pm User: Amy from N. Las Vegas, NV User Rating: This is a dish my husband and I make together, and has become our favorite dish to make when we have guests for dinner. It comes out perfect, every time. It is always tender and delicious! We do cheat, though, and buy ready made fried rice from the place around the corner. But when there are people to impress, it is Guy's Pork Loin, every time! Warm and delicious! 08/13/2007 at 11:46am User: Anonymous User Rating: This was wonderful! I've never made pork tenderloin before, but I loved this dish! It's not a quick meal, but a good one for entertaining guests! Indi-Anna Fried Rice 08/06/2007 at 10:11am User: Anonymous User Rating: Fixed the Fried Rice last night. It was a big hit. This goes into the family favorite file! EASY, AUTHENTIC VERSION OF FRIED RICE 06/10/2007 at 12:57am User: CAROLYN from LAKE STEVENS, WA User Rating: I'VE TRIED TO MAKE FRIED RICE FOREVER, BUT NEVER COULD QUITE GET IT RIGHT. IF YOU FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY, YOU'RE WELL ON YOUR WAY TO A TREAT. THERE'S NO SUBSTITUTE FOR A WOK. EVEN IF YOU JUST INVEST IN A CHEAP ONE, IT'S WELL WORTH THE PRICE. MAKE SURE TO SEASON IT WELL BEFORE USING IT. THE EASIEST WAY IS TO HEAT IT OVER HIGH HEAT ON A BURNER. ADD ABOUT A TBL. OF CANOLA OIL AND HEAT UNTIL IT'S SMOKING. WIPE EXCESS OIL WITH A PAPER TOWEL AND STORE IT AWAY. DONT BE ALARMED IF IT GETS BLACKENED. (THIS IS A GOOD THING) ANOTHER TIP: DON'T GO OVERBOARD WITH THE GINGER. MEASURE EXACTLY WHAT THE RECIPE CALLS FOR AND YOU'LL BE FINE. TOO MUCH AND IT GETS REALLY BITTER. MY FINAL TIP: HAVE ALL OF YOUR INGREDIENTS CHOPPED, MEASURED AND READY TO ADD TO THE WOK. IT COOKS REALLY QUICKLY! A total winner!! 05/24/2007 at 05:53pm User: MARCY from Foster City, CA User Rating: This is the first time I have tried one of Guy's recipes - they are usually a little too far over the top for me but this one sounded just too good to resist, and boy was it!! Not only is the basic recipe fabulous but you can clean out your frig - I added "stir fry mix" which had broc. florettes, carrot and snap peas all ready to go, also added bean sprouts and sliced water chestnuts. I've made this twice (pork and rice), and every one raved about it (including my hubby who resists veggies!!)> Way to go Guy!! Awesome! 05/08/2007 at 03:27pm User: Katherine from Mesa, AZ User Rating: Wow. This is the best pork tenderloin I have ever had. Very tasty! I cooked up just the pork, and used that as my main dish along with veggies. Very good! Yumm 05/01/2007 at 05:00pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was pretty easy to make and was delicious and beautiful. I served this to extended family and it was a hit all over. Thanks Guy Awesomely Delicious! 04/28/2007 at 04:12pm User: JOCELYN from Pittsburgh, PA User Rating: Made this last night and hardly tweaked it at all! By mistake, I used the duck sauce in the marinade as well as a coating for the pork. Still yummy. Also, my family likes heat, so I used Gold's Szechuan Style duck sauce to give the pork a little kick. The only thing I would do differently next time is double the meat. My carnivores still enjoyed it. Homerun! Will be 5 stars if you try this.... 02/22/2007 at 10:03pm User: Raquel from Dallas, TX User Rating: Fry the egg on one side of the skillet right before the veggies on medium heat. If you wait to add the egg at the end the egg acts as a glue instead of an add in and makes the texture too thick. The flavor was great and the pok was wonderful!!!!! Dinner Party Favorite 02/17/2007 at 10:01am User: Anonymous User Rating: Very tasty and a new favorite! Lots of different flavors in one dish that came together very well. I recommend making sure you pre-chop all the veggies because once the dish gets cooking that's no time for any prep. So yummy! 02/12/2007 at 03:56pm User: SUE from San Jose, CA User Rating: This was the best recipe for fried rice I have ever found. Easy to make and the taste was better then my favorite chinese restaurant. Thanks Guy for a great recipe! Delicious 02/11/2007 at 07:00pm User: JANINE from The Colony, TX User Rating: I didn't do the pork but did the rice as a side to the beef dish that was on the same show( that was awesome).I added waterchestnuts and frozen peas along with the snow peas. The only thing I didn't like was my own fault. The rice I used was very gummy.Next time I'll use good old Uncle Bens! Will definatly make this again. great taste 02/06/2007 at 08:36am User: BOB from cranford, NJ User Rating: Takes a little time to prepare everything. Best advise would be to chop all your ingredients before you start and have them lined up ready to go, makes it alot easier. Kids enjoyed, especially the pork. Thanks Guy. GREAT 02/05/2007 at 04:20pm User: Lisal from Benbrook, TX User Rating: This is very very good! WOW!!! 02/05/2007 at 12:21pm User: CAROL from Shreveport, LA User Rating: Guy has done it again. I fixed this for the Super Bowl and I had everyone purring like kittens. It was wonderful. The only thing that took time was the chopping, but I could have bought everything already chopped if I had been in a hurry. I am really impressed by every recipe I have ever tried of Guy's!! Keep on keeping on! |
