Why this worked so well, I don't know. But it did!! The sauce was just delicious. I would make more sauce next time around. Simple and delicious over a couple of Canadian Choice steaks done in an iron skillet and finished in the oven.

This recipe is absolutly wonderful. Easy, fast and taste great. My family was looking for seconds and thirds, (4 boys and my hubby). So, needless to say, I did not make enough, but I will next time. I love Paula. My Mom taught me the basics of cooking, but Paula taught me how to put love into everything I make. She has not steered me wrong with her recipes

this was so easy to cook...and quick! i added a little more than a 1/2 cup of mushrooms though because i wanted a lot of them. i also added another small clove of garlic!

I am glad I watched the show on TV or I would have missed adding the "House Seasoning" and the adding of a little oil to the butter when frying the steaks.(not in the website recipe)Thank you, Paula, for your wonderful shows! You are the best!

After reading the reviews I had to try this recipe for myself. I'm glad I did!This is a great tasting recipe! Very quick and easy, no complicated ingredients. I will admit that I did find it a bit greasy, but it didn't matter the flavor was so good I couldn't stop eating it!I did add a few extra tsps. of lemon and worcestershire to the sauce. Overall it was delicious!!! Thanks Paula!!

Made the Steak Diane for friends. What a fabulous dish!! Easy to make, minimal ingredients, and fantastic taste. I did improvise with flaming it with dark rum. Add a little rum into the sauce after the mushrooms become tender, and light it on fire with a match. There is SO much flavor with this. I added a little salt to the meat before cooking it, but I think it would've been great without it. As for presentation, it's probably best to cut it into 3/4"-1" medallions rather than slices.

I watched the show and the food just look so good! im really not much of a cook but i had to try it! [i even recorded the show!] I followed the intructions and it was so easy!! it doesnt even take long to do it! Mom loved it and my little sister cleaned her plate up! The mushrooms were the Best.. We never had mushrooms with that much flavor!

this recipe always comes out perfectly. i have never had any complaints. to change it up a bit, sometimes i add a little bit of soy sauce to the steak...the extra salt and flavor make it delicious!

That is what my family said when I fixed this terrific recipe. I am so happy I turned the TV on when I did. Paula Deen is right when she says this is an easy recipe to prepare. The flavor was amazing. This really rates 10 stars in our home. Try it tonight, you'll be glad you did.

GREAT! RECIPE, but i did modify a little. I use way less buter ,1 tbsp to 3 tsp olive oil. Took steaks out when done ,then I added the veggies and removed when tender. I added broth or even wine was better to deglaze to get those YUM! YUMS! up. I added the steaks back w/the veggies for a few min and WHOOLA! Done and GREAT!( you can also put pan in oven for a few to sear tops of meat and still be tender inside.

The whole family loved this steak!Even my 5 year old.I followed the directions closely and it was easy and delicious.I served it with plain old mashed potatoes and broccoli with garlic and oil.

I'm glad I seasoned the steaks because they would have been bland. I used Montreal Steak Seasoning. The sauce was okay but didn't knock my socks off. I've been cooking steak with mushroom and onions for years and this recipe was pretty basic. I think I'll stick with mine.

I RATED THIS RECIPE WITH 5 STARS BECAUSE IT WAS INCREDIBLY EASY BUT THE TASTE AND PRESENTATION WAS OUTSTANDING. JUST DON'T FORGET TO SEASON THE FILETS WITH GARLIC SALT AND PEPPER FIRST BEFORE COOKING. I ALSO ADDED A LITTLE OLIVE OIL TO THE BUTTER BEFORE COOKING THE STEAKS. DELISH!

I fixed this for a party of 10. I had the butcher cut 14 1/4-1/2inch slices of prime tenderloin. I fixed the dish with a salad, 2 vegetables and bread. It cost less than $70. It was an awesome presentation, quick and delicious. Thanks food network!

What luck! I had bought a beef tenderloin for Easter dinner tonight and was intrigued by the Steak Diane recipe Paula had on her show today. It was fate! I had to try it! It was so easy and very delicious. I did season the meat with her house seasoning before I cooked it. I served it with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. My whole family gave it five stars.

The meat was nice, but the sauce was so greasy because of the butter, and just didn't have much flavor...my husband and I added a lot more worchestershire sauce and lemon (and used more mushrooms) and then it was pretty good...but I'd use less butter if I made it again...
