Every time I make these burgers for family and friends they love them. Everyone asks for the recipe and any leftovers are not wasted, we just have them later in the week. Be sure to try this recipe even if you are not a big blue cheese fan.

The burgers were very good, but I had trouble getting them to stay together. Next time I would try to mash the patties together better.

This recipe is so simple but flavorful. Others have said the bleu cheese flavor is too strong, but my husband and I love it so it was great for us. The topping was great, but not necessary. I'll definitely make these tasty burgers again.

These burgers are excellent, the blue cheese butter may get to be too much, but they are definitely a winner at the dinner table.

These burgers are awesome! You really need to get the full effect by using the butter and onion roll. These are in no way healthy, but if you want to splurge then this is a great recipe to do so. We served these to many people and all went home with the recipe.

Tasty & Juicy

User: nieke from Azusa, CA    User Rating:
I read earlier reviews so I watched out on the salt. I know that the montreal steak seasoning has salt in it and the cheese would also contribute saltiness, so I didn't use salt at all. I used fetta cheese since I don't really fond of bleu cheese. I also add parsley in the butter cheese mixture for extra freshness. I cooked it under the broiler in the oven just like she advise, 5 minutes on each side. It turned out perfect, very juicy. It was the best burger I have ever made. Usually I used breadcrumb in the burger mixture and it turned out dry. I Loooovvvveeeeeeeeee it sooooo much!!!!

I made these last weekend for my husband to bbq and we found them to be very good. The recipie was easy to follow and we had no problem with any of the cheese melting. They were juicy and even tasted good the next day! We will make these again when we want to have something other than just a plain burger. We did not make the bleu cheese sauce. All in all great recipie! Thanks Sandra (yet again) LOVE YOUR SHOW! Excellent ideas! :)

We loved this burgers. About an hour after eating, we felt there was a little too much salt, so next time, we won't add any. Made them the next day for the kids omitting the bleu cheese, and topped them with American....they said it was the best burger they ever had!

The cheese butter melted all over the place. We wern't too impressed by the burger either. Too salty.

We love blue cheese but not these burgers
03/26/2007 at 12:08pm
User: Anonymous    User Rating:
We adore blue cheese but we though all it did for this burger was to make it SALTY. Way too salty. The cheese and bacon together were unnecessary -- one or the other, maybe. Given that the butter, bacon and cheese made this a less-than-healthy sandwich, it really needed to be tasty to be a winner --- and it wasn't, unfortunately.

A good burger

Made these tonight for dinner and both my husband and I enjoyed them very much. I think you have to like bleu cheese to enjoy these

Fabulous cheeseburgers!

User: Melissa from Goodrich, MI    User Rating:
These are possibly the best cheeseburgers I have ever made; they are amazing! My husband & I love blue cheese. I didn't have any bacon bits, but I did have some bacon. I chopped up a few slices & mixed them in with the meat. We liked the burgers so much this way, we're not even going to try the bacon bit method!

Very Good Burgers!

Inedibly SALTY
03/19/2007 at 04:36pm
User: Fanny from Houston, TX    User Rating:
The bacon and all the cheese made the burger inedibly salty. Plus the cheese and butter melted when topped on the burger, making it a mess to eat. Please note that there is a quantity discrepency in the recipe with the cheese.

Measure accurately!

User: L from Madison, WI    User Rating:
We did not want to make 1/2 pound burgers for each person plus one of the three used feta instead of bleu cheese. We had a a bit of difficulty determining the right amount of bleu cheese and we both felt it needed more cheese when we ate them. We will try to use the full 1.5 pounds of burger next time. They were very tasty...the feta person loved hers as well.

Terrific Burger

User: Susan from G, NY    User Rating:
My husband is very picky about his burgers and loved these! I, too, used real bacon (lower fat turkey bacon!)and lean beef (93%) and found the mix of flavors very tasty. A great change from a tired old plain ground beef burger.

Delicious

I used real bacon, cooked and crumbled and 1/3 c. of bl. cheese rather than 1/2 cup. I also made two extra patties as we do not like our meat so thick. Just delicious!
