Yuck - too much liquid smoke

On TV this looked great, but after actually cooking it - well, unfortunately it didn't taste as good as it looked. Part of it might have been my problem -I used regular soy sauce instead of reduced sodium soy sauce (she says she uses reduced sodium soy sauce so she can salt later -so I thought, no big deal, I will use this now since this is all I have and not salt later) - HUGE MISTAKE. It was unbelievably salty. And, I thought there was way too much liquid smoke - it overpowered the rest of the flavors until they were undistinguishable (which is too bad, because there were some nice ingredients in there). I would suggest making sure you use reduced sodium soy sauce and cut the amount of liquid smoke by at least half.

Robin is quick becoming one of my favorites on FN. I grabbed some honey and ginger at the store and served with ramen noodles...it was practically inhaled by my 16 year old. I did leave the chicken in the sauce for about 45 min to an hour before frying it up. I did not make the peas. I had dinner within 4 minutes once the noodles hit the water and the chicken hit the pan. Will definately make again.

Half good - half bad

The chicken was FANTASTIC! I met mine marinated about 45 minutes before cooking though. I used some sesame oil, soy sauce, and garlic for the peas. The bad part...the cellophane noodles. It was like eating strands of wet hair and had no taste. I'd make the recipe again with a different side.
