The cashews add so much to the salmon. What a difference! I also love bok choy. I had actually talked to a friend of mine who is Chinese about bok choy and how I like it and wanted to make it myself, but never had. I saw Robin making it, so I wanted to try the salmon as well. They both turned out delicious and now I have a new way of making my salmon (I eat it a lot). I'll be using this recipe A LOT! THANKS! :)

Very simple to make and my friends loved it, especially the texture. Great presentation and I too finished it in the oven to prevent over browning the cashews.

Amazing!!

While I love most seafood , I actively dislike salmon. My husband loves it and I know it is so healthy so I have been searching for a recipe for salmon that I could actually eat. This is it! I could , literally, eat this every day of the week ( ditto, my husband). Thank you Robin for a healthy and delicious recipe for the dreaded salmon.

Yum!!!!

Wow, Fanstatic! I left out the Bok Choy, since I live in the woods of Western Kentucky, can't find it here. Lucky to get the Salmon. The onions mixed with chopped cashews was delightful and the honey mustard made it all come together.

Lost the chicken broth.

The recipe was easy and tasted great. My only problem was that it did not say what to do with the chicken broth. Was it for the salmon or the bok choy? L. Domenech Bronx, NY.

I made this Saturday night after watching the show Saturday morning. Since I had seen her make it, I followed what she did rather than what the recipe said. One difference is that she mixed the onion flakes and the crushed cashews together to coat the salmon in. I didn't have any honey mustard on hand, so I just mixed equal parts dijon mustard and honey for the same basi effect. The taste was really good. Something about the sweetness of the cashews with the flavor of the onions was an awesome combination. I did manage to burn the cashews before the salmon was finished which may have been because the stove was too hot. I just popped the pan in the oven to finish it off without burning it further. Overall, very nice dish and will definitely make it again.

Help with the recipe

I did see the show this a.m. and it sounds like a good variation for Salmon. I believe the part that was left off was had to do with the fact that she was using a larger package of Salmon filets (6 total) using four for this recipe and reserving the other two for the salmon Cobb Salad. Leave the chicken broth out of the recipe.

I saw this episode this morning. The instructions for the salmon begin at "Meanwhile," so no need to worry that you've missed any steps. Also, the chicken broth was for another recipe in the episode...not sure why it's listed here, but you can just ignore it. I'm anxious to hear how it turns out for someone!!

Help!

I would like to make this recipe, but I think they left out some information. The recipe starts off saying, "Meanwhile..." and the recipe calls for chicken broth, but does not mention where or when to add it. Did anyone see this episode who can shed some light? Thanks.

Don't cook on medium-high heat

Before I ate this dish I was ready to call it a disaster. As I dished out the salmon onto plates I was already thinking about the negative review I was about to give this recipe. However, after eating it, I have changed my tune. It tasted OK, but a little too salty. Since salmon is already salty, I recommend using salt-free cashews, or another nut that doesn't contain so much of it. And the other thing is cooking this dish on medium-high heat will burn it! I only had the salmon in the pan for about 1 minute and it was burning. I had to turn the heat down to medium (almost medium-low) to keep it from burning while cooking the salmon all the way through. Needless to say, the crust was mostly black... but still tasted ok.

different fish?

i want to try this recipe, but my husband does not like salmon. what other fish would compliment the cashews. i'm sure it would be great with chicken, but I have enough chicken recipes.

Awesome Salmon recipe

This salmon recipe is terrific, my husband and kids loved it. Will definitely make again. One more thing, I wish people giving reviews would read the instructions concerning "rate and review". It is to rate and review a recipe that you've actually prepared. Not to ask questions about how to decipher a recipe. Those of you who don't actually cook the recipe, but then give a low rating with a stupid question about preparation, shouldn't be in the kitchen at all!

My cashews did not adhere. I had a pan full of burnt cashews. I may try again but I don't want another disaster. My husband said it was good but I think he was trying to be nice.
