I love Giada's recipes and I love making vinaigrettes from scratch. This was my first experience being disappointed with a homemade dressing. I found it to lack flavor and I followed the recipe exactly with a good white wine.

I've been looking for a light vinaigrette with a bite but without feeling too heavy. This was perfect. A great pair with the arugula which has a strong taste of it's own. Both work nicely together without overpowering one another.

The salad was OK. the vinaigrette needed to be sweeter in my opinion. It was also very thin in consistency. I used chardonnay and I used dijon mustard-perhaps that was why I ended up adding 2 or 3 tsp of sugar. If I were to make it again (but I don't think I will)it might be better to put more honey in it

the dressing is wonderful and light! this salad is perfect to a heavier main dish. it is great if you are looking for a plain salad...the dressing really makes it!
