This was a fabulous recipe! I used the fat free half and half instead of the heavy cream. I'm sure you would be able to tell the difference if you were used to it with the cream, but we couldn't. Next time, I think I will add a piece of andouille sausage and maybe some mushroom and/or broccoli. As others mention, it is a bit spicy (and I like spicy).

delicious and easy

this was so ridiculously salty I thought there must have been a typo. Might be OK without the salt water but I'm not going to waste any more shrimp to find out.

I'm a sissy when it comes to hot food, so I eliminated the jalapeno pepper, and considered using monterey jack rather than the pepper jack - so glad I didn't. This was wonderful!

Excellent!

I do not rate recipes very often but I made this tonight for my husband, 10 yr. daughter, 11 yr. son and myself. We all loved it!! I did not put the jalapeno in and the spice was perfect for everyone.

I loved this recipe! It's a combination of my 2 favorite foods... pasta and spicy. It's the perfect amount of spicyness and it's awesome with the cream sauce.

This dish was so easy and mouthwatering, I thought I was at a restaurant!! Excellent...my husbadn loved it. I tried different pasta recipes, but this one takes the cake. I didn't add all that salt to the water, but it still tuned out great. Try it...you will love!! OUTSTANDING!!!

I was looking for a simple dish one night to use some left-over shrimp. WOW, was I in for a surprise. This is one of the best pasta dishes I have ever eaten. The jalapenos make this dish pop!!! Highly recommend to all pasta and shrimp lovers.

This is one of the best things I have ever eaten. It was a tad spicy for my wife and 8 year old daughter, but for my money, this was one of the most terrific things I have ever eaten. It was full of flavor. To cut down on the heat try using jack cheese (instead of pepper jack) and half a jalapeno. I also made it a second time using broccoli instead of shrimp and it also was great. I also used half and half to cut the calories it still made a great sauce. You gotta try this!

I just finished making this recipe for the first time and have eaten a small sample. This is a recipe is wonderful! Like others, I made a few alterations: 1) I used salad shrimp as opposed to tail-on. This not only saved me $5 on groceries, but easily allowed there to be shrimp in every bite. 2) I excluded the jalepeno and the peppershack, as my audience cant handle heat. I added lime juice & lemon zest at the end. 3) I found the sauce to be a bit runny, so after adding the noodles, I stirred in a few spoons of flour, covered the pan and let it simmer for 15 minutes while crabcakes cooked. This isn't a healthy dish, but it's going on my "Friday Night Fancy" list!

Wow, wow, wow! What an amazing dish. Everyone in my family loved it and my husband almost cried when he realized the next day he didn't get to have anymore for leftovers because we all ate it for lunch before he got home. He was very sad. I will be adding to my regular recipes for sure. (I used 1/2 tsp less salt)

I must say that this recipe is absolutely impressive. Typically, I look online at Foodnetwork.com for inspiration. I have never followed a recipe exactly, and certainly did not measure any of the ingredients. When I read Emeril's recipe, I immediately decided to take a chance. I followed it exactly (except, I moved the pasta-sauce mixture to a pot to mix it to make it easier to stir). It was incredible. Even left over, I was quite happy. I wouldn't change a thing.

A real winner

Made this last night exactly as written with one exception. 1 less tsp. salt. I figured I could salt it after cooked if needed. It was delish. We had a friend over ( just 3 of us) and we hardly had any leftovers. We all loved it.

This was probably one of the spiciest dishes I've ever eaten! It was good in that respect, but think we may tone it down as we are not that big of spicy eaters. Thought it was a bit salty, so will add less salt next time. We thought this would be execellent with chicken too! May give it another try to take it down a notch to our taste, but otherwise I love Emeril's recipes!

I made this dish for a family dinner. I recieved a lot of compliments about this dish. I liked it although I thought it could have used less salt. I normally dont salt my dishes a whole lot so that may be why. If you are not used to a lot of salt I would probably scale down on the salt. I will the next time I make this dish. Other then that I thought this dish was a hit.

I'm not big on 'heat' and was a bit worried about the jalapenos, especially since my 83 year old father was visiting. I cut them by 1/2. It was a huge hit with all. Not hot and FULL of flavor. Prep ahead of time made cooking sooooo much easier. Can't wait for the leftovers!

great flavor!!!! easy too.

my boyfriend and i loved the flavor of this pasta... however, i made it for mother's day and cut the jalapenos by half and took out the seeds because my family does not enjoy spicy food the way i do, and it was still far too spicy for them. i will make this again, but will completely cut out the jalapenos when serving it to my family!

This receipe takes a lot to prepare...especialy if you are a novice at cooking....but worth the time in preparations. The flavor was great and a receipe that I will make again not matter how many ingrediants and time it takes. Just as good as the better restraunts that have this dish on their menu.

My daughter is learning to cook in preparation for moving into her own place with a group of friends. She made this dish for our family and it was fantastic. She was thrilled with the results and how easy it was to prepare. Needed to reduce the amout of pepper to accommodate her 9 yr old brother but that was all.

My husband and I thought this was very good....We liked the bite from the jalapeno and the sauce was wonderful. However, we had a hard time thickening the sauce and had to add some flour to get it to the consistency we wanted. Otherwise, awesome - and we will make this over and over. I would be proud to serve at a dinner party, anytime.
