Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake Bars 06/23/2008 at 03:44pm User: Madeline from Wheaton, IL User Rating: This was a fabulous recipe to make when you need to bring a dessert to a party. Mix up the fruits to add a variety. I made the Lemon Bars and a batch of raspberry bars. People loved them! Yum! 06/23/2008 at 01:14pm User: Jessica from Boulder, CO User Rating: These bars were really simple and tasty. However I think I might need to add more butter or something to the graham cracker mix next time, because it was very crumbly and didn't stick together at all. Also, there was a lot of time spent waiting for things to cool etc., so it wasn't as quick as it appeared to be on the show. woop 06/18/2008 at 09:57pm User: Christy from Riverside, CA User Rating: yayaa Rich and satisfying 06/13/2008 at 10:55am User: Kori from Oak Ridge, TN User Rating: I do not eat cheesecake often, but my sister and I wanted to make something special to take to a dinner with friends. This got rave reviews from everyone and certainly ended the night on a sweet note. They are great as an indulgence, but not too often. Excellent! 04/17/2008 at 01:21pm User: amy from wilmington, DE User Rating: I just made these for a party and everyone loved them. So easy to make, too. Recipe doubles well for a larger 18x9 pan too. Creamy Cheesecake 04/04/2008 at 01:12am User: Anonymous User Rating: This is the best Cheesecake I have made yet. Wow, how exciting to have something to share with even the best cooks. Perfect! 03/16/2008 at 08:21pm User: Laura from Lewisville, TX User Rating: This recipe tastes even better than it sounds. I love lemon and added the juice of another 1/2 lemon with the recipe and it gives perfect tartness. One note: I was able to cut 20 good sized bars instead of 10 out of the 9X9 pan. This is sure to become a hit with my family and friends! very good! 02/24/2008 at 10:49pm User: susan from glen rock, NJ User Rating: I made these for a dinner party and overall they were very good and easy to prepare. I followed the recipe to the tee, but I actually found that there was very little 'lemony flavor' to the bars. They tasted like cheese cake with blueberries on top. I did like them enough to make them again in the future. I love blueberrys and this recipe is awesome! 02/13/2008 at 10:52am User: Farrah from Houston, TX User Rating: I made this last September for a family get together and we loved them...I managed to set aside a few squares for my co-workers and they loved them too! I am looking forward to making these again; probably for Easter and definitely during the summer time. They are so refreshing and scrumptious!! Very good and easy 11/22/2007 at 04:22pm User: Diane from St. George, UT User Rating: I made some changes. My sister cannot have gluten so I substituted gluten and wheat free ginger snap cookies for the graham crackers. I used 1 1/2 cups of the ground crackers. It turned out perfect. My taste buds are singing! 11/04/2007 at 01:24pm User: Anonymous User Rating: These cheesecake bars are wonderful. Really, really wonderful. Creamy, the crust was just right with the cinnamon. We are not big lemon lovers, so I did not use the zest, just the juice of 2 lemons. The flavor for our taste was perfection. Thank you Tyler. excellent 10/15/2007 at 12:32pm User: Anonymous User Rating: easy and very very tasty !!!!! Easy & Quick & Yummm 10/15/2007 at 12:23am User: Anonymous User Rating: It was very easy to make and looking good, too! Parchment paper worked very very good and EASY TO CUT!!! Usually, cheesecake can be pretty thick and too rich for me and my husband, but it wasn't like that at all. Right texture and Lemon flavor was perfect! Only one thing I changed was I used raspberries instead of blueberries. It just because I had it in my freezer. I thawed them and wait for drying them and sprinkle with sugar before putting them on the filling. It worked perfectly and I will definitely try with blueberries next time because I know this recipe is great!! Perfect every time 10/02/2007 at 01:42am User: Lori from Sacramento, CA User Rating: I have made this numerous times and each time everyone raves. I have also added mini choc chips on top and it's wonderful. Thanks Tyler. Yummy and Tart! 10/01/2007 at 10:24am User: Anonymous User Rating: For the person asking measure of graham crumbs. I broke up the 9 crackers, as called for in the recipe, and measured after processing them and it came to 1 1/2 cups, if you are using packaged graham cracker crumbs. I agree it is a bit tart. I like it that way but my spouse doesn't, so I would probably cut back or not use the lemon zest. I used 2 average size lemons(not huge like some come). I didn't have enough parchment paper so I used wax paper(suggested on line for substitution) instead. you can't "lift out" like you would with parchment, but it did slide out of the pan easily for cutting, after cooling. Cheesecake to die for 09/30/2007 at 01:57pm User: Paula from Colton, OR User Rating: loved the ease of preperation and how well the desert turned out. The only draw back was it was a bit to tart. I won't use the lemon peel next time other than that my family loved it! Absolutely Great 08/27/2007 at 02:39pm User: Patricia from Burbank, CA User Rating: Loved this easy recipe! Lemony and blueberry and the crust is wonderful! Tyler did it again! Everyone at work loved these and I am making these for the Great American Bake Sale at work this Thursday! Tyler if you are ever in Burbank California please come on by! Yummy! 08/26/2007 at 10:35am User: Anonymous User Rating: This was a great and easy recipe, my guests loved it! One word of advice- don't forgo the parchment paper. Simply buttering the pan will not suffice, the crust will stick like a rock to the pan. Also, if ou don't have a food processor, just use an electric mixer. Awesome and Easy 08/25/2007 at 06:05pm User: Anonymous User Rating: These bars were very easy and quick. The easiest thing I made for dinner and IMHO, the best. But then, dessert's always the best part of the meal. Healthy and great 08/25/2007 at 11:39am User: rob from chatham, NJ User Rating: This is a great desert to make "healthy"! Nothing is lost by subbing splenda for the sugar and using fat-free cream cheese. awesome and easy! 08/21/2007 at 05:19pm User: Anonymous User Rating: these are really good! Great flavor, just a crumbly crust 08/15/2007 at 01:25am User: Jill from Kirkland, WA User Rating: The flavor of this recipe was WONDERFUL!! I will definitely make these again. I did have some trouble with the crust - it separated from the cheesecake and was a little crumbly. Next time, I'll try adding a bit more butter to give it a little more moisture to avoid crumbling. Other than that, LOVED IT! Easy luncheon dessert 08/14/2007 at 09:10pm User: GAIL from Denison, IA User Rating: Served at a bridge luncheon and was enjoyed by all. Don't see the necessity of using the parchment paper. Will try again just baking in buttered pan. lemon blueberry cheesecake bars 08/09/2007 at 04:32pm User: Anonymous User Rating: YUM!!! HUGE hit at my party! My husband wouldn't stay out of them either! GOOD 08/08/2007 at 12:15pm User: Phedella from Cleveland, OH User Rating: This recipe is so easy to make and it just melts in your mouth. Fresh Blueberry bars 08/01/2007 at 12:28pm User: Melanie from Darien, IL User Rating: This recipe was delicious. Lemon added tartness. Very good! WOW 07/18/2007 at 11:14am User: Lois from E Grand Rapids, MI User Rating: I really thought the juice of 2 lemons was excessive but i have such confidence in Tyler's talent... he was right. People go crazy over this. Easy and delicious 07/05/2007 at 08:34am User: Laura from Little Rock, AR User Rating: I've never had much luck with crusts or cheesecake, but both came out perfectly with this recipe. The cinnamon adds so much to the crust, and the filling is ultra creamy and lightly flavored with the lemon. The hardest thing is waiting for it to cool and set before digging in!! A winner, for sure. Very, very good 07/02/2007 at 12:27pm User: Anonymous User Rating: These were very good. Both these and the full size cheescake are very simply, and have a great texture and flavour. The one issue with this recipe is the measurement for the Graham Crumbs... you may have to adjust the "9 crakers" quantity. A more uniform unit of measure for this ingredient would be great... Excellent 06/28/2007 at 12:29pm User: Laura from Marshall, MI User Rating: Excellent dessert and very easy to make. Outstanding! 06/23/2007 at 03:06am User: Anne from Friday Harbor, WA User Rating: Absolutely delicious. My dinner guest ate three helpings and then asked for the recipe. Of course he got it. Perfect Bites... 06/21/2007 at 05:53pm User: Rachel from Apple Valley, MN User Rating: These bars are great! I'd definately make them again! Delicious, simple and quick cheesecake 06/11/2007 at 12:28pm User: Megan from East Aurora, NY User Rating: These cheesecake bars are absolutly to die for. They have become a favorite to all of my friends and are a regular at many events. Blueberry Cheese Cake 06/03/2007 at 11:27am User: jan from lake forest, CA User Rating: I have never made cheesecake this was adream so east and so good everyone loved it great summer cheescake 05/28/2007 at 11:18pm User: Anonymous User Rating: i used graham cracker crumbs for convenience and electric hand mixer instead of a food processor and it still came out great.the lemon flavor was very refreshing it was very easy to make definatly a winner Tart treat 05/28/2007 at 12:46am User: Anonymous User Rating: I love the flavors of lemon and blueberry together but this recipe was a little tart. I will definitely try to make the dessert again but maybe with a little less lemon juice/zest. For a change in flavor, I would also substitute blackberry for blueberry. Refreshing taste 05/27/2007 at 08:33pm User: Anonymous User Rating: My teenage daughter made these for her graduation party....awesome. You can actually cut into smaller squares as well. There was some "crack lines" in the cheesecake after baking---would a water bath eliminate this? Easy and delicious! 05/22/2007 at 05:42pm User: Christina from Alexandria, VA User Rating: The cheesecake bars were a big hit with my husband and my co-workers. I have never had much luck with crusts but this one turned out beautifully! Way to please GF 05/20/2007 at 07:25pm User: Joshua from Garden Grove, CA User Rating: great to please my girlfriend. if you ever get in trouble just make one of these. don't waste time on flowers. thanks Tyler |
