not so much 09/24/2007 at 08:01pm User: cindy from Weare, NH User Rating: I made this and it came out nice and smooth, but not much for taste. It had a bitter after taste that was really a turn off. I didn't have time to play around with trying to fix it before guest arrived. Did not go over well at all - won't make it again. Just so-so 09/22/2007 at 04:34pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was bland like the others said; an overall unimpressive dip. I am really hoping that it tastes better after chilling for a few hours. Even so, I'll be looking for a better version of this. Good stuff! 09/20/2007 at 08:41pm User: Alicia from Queen Creek, AZ User Rating: I've never had babaganoush before and was anxious to try it. I made it for lunch one day when we had some friends over and served it warm. It was very good and the kids liked that they could scoop it up with the pita. Velvety Babaganoush. 08/12/2007 at 12:11am User: manuela from warwick, RI User Rating: I love Mediterrenean food and Ellie's babaganoush is absolutely tasty, refined, and healthy. I strongly recommend it. Good 06/26/2007 at 08:09pm User: Anonymous User Rating: We liked this, but did not love it, like we usually do with traditional babaganoush. We love eggplant, but this is very eggplant-y (even chilled). I added more tahini and a little olive oil and that helped, but not enough. Finally I mixed it 50/50 with hummus, and then it was great! Yum 06/09/2007 at 04:37pm User: Johnna from Tipton, MO User Rating: I initially tasted this while the eggplant was still warm, and it was very blah. I wasn't sure that I would want to eat it at all. Once the dip was chilled overnight, though, the eggplant absorbed all the flavors of the dip and I really enjoyed it. Will make again. Baba Wow Wow 06/09/2007 at 12:08pm User: Michael from antelope, CA User Rating: Awesome flavor, easy to make, this was a hit at the party. Mmmmmm......Baba 06/05/2007 at 01:11pm User: Y from chicago, IL User Rating: This is so good and you can just call it "dip", if faced with people who claim not to like eggplant. It may well convert them. |
