The recipe is very easy to make. The only thing I would change is reduce the amount of lemon juice to a 1/4 cup.

Poorly written recipe

Gaida I love you, but this recipe was very poorly written. It took a disaster and re-reading several times to figure it out. Where it says to "add enough water to cover", it doesn't mean cover the flowers...it must mean to add enough water to cover the PAN their in! And how do you "grate" a tomato? I also think it would be helpful to indicate "uncooked rice", since it takes some figuring out to know it's not cooked rice. Needless to say, I have a zucchini "soup" on my stove right now. :-(

Lovely and fresh tasting

This is not Giada's recipe! She simply sampled these while filming Giada in Paradise, so please do not direct your anger toward her. The recipe calls for uncooked rice. Also, the water should only barely cover the flowers, it should not go to the top of the pan. I agree the directions were not clear but I recently watched this episode and the woman showed exactly how to cook them.

Where do you get zucchini flowers from? Also, is the rice supposed to be cooked or uncooked?
