I wanted to make these potatoes for a dinner party I was having on the weekend. But, before I did I made my family the testers. I followed the recipe to the "T" and my family gobbled these up like there was no tomorrow. There were no leftovers to speak of. When I made them for my dinner party, the only thing I changed was the amount of butter used. I cut the butter amount in half and they turned out just as good and just as nummy! Thanks Rory for the amazing potatoes. My guests enjoyed them as much as my family and they all took some home for their dinner the next day.

Very Good!

Also lightened up this up using Smart Balance Organic & turkey bacon. Also parboiled the potatoes - served cheese & green onions on the side. A lot of ways to lighten this up if you have a clue.

Pretty good

The recipe was a little heavy in the garlic and onion. Would probably cut back a little next time. The flavor was great.

These were the best potatoes I have had in a long time. Not for those on a diet, and completely delicious. Make a bunch - the leftovers crisp right up in a pan the next mornings for delicious hash browns to go with your eggs!

These were GREAT & EASY!

I cut the recipe in half for the most part; using 3 lbs potatoes, 6 slices bacon and 1 stick of butter that I melted first. It was plenty for 6 people and let me just say that the cheese put this recipe on my A list!

Everyone-Make these

The potatoes are a great side dish, the only downfall is the time it takes to cook, over an hour. To cut on the cooking time, I par-boiled the potatoes and it cut the time in half. Fantastic taste and filling!

These are great but fattening. I may cut out a little butter. Also, it is great with or without cheese.

This was a great side dish with bar-b-que round steak. Everyone loved it. I made it easier with frozen chopped onion spice blend. Looked great on the Rachel Ray show when Rory was making them! SUPER!! Plan on serving to guest next time

I made this recipe yesterday, with a few modifications and it was still really good. I didn't use butter, I used olive oil, I used turkey bacon (about half the amount called for), and a reduced fat cheese. My family loved it and I think these changes lightened up the fat content a lot.

Sounds fattening and unhealthy

What butter she tells you to use salted butter but than says to use country crock. that is not butter but a margarine spread. Which has way too much salt. Yuck.

We made this tonight as a side dish with a grilled london broil. Cut the recipe in half for the four of us. It was easy to prep. The kids don't like much seasoning, but we kept the recipe the same. After about 45 minutes the whole house smelled wonderful. The time was right on, and the presentation was perfect. Flavor was great, and the kids loved it. They both went back for seconds, and cleaned the pan. We will definately make this again. It will be one of our staple sides with grilling.

I served these potatoes at our church breakfast and they were a BIG hit. They were so different and the taste was fantastic!! It had a lot going on for it with garlic, bacon, cheese & chives.
