The rice was good but my husband thought it tasted more like dessert with the orange and lemon rind, but that was just his taste buds. I might try the rice again but will probably only use the lemon. The toasting up of the rice was an excellent idea, it made the texture of the regular long grain cooking rice much better, not so sticky. I will do this from now on no matter what rice recipe I make. My husband loved the meat but did not care for the rice. He likes just plain white Japanese rice. This will be something I will make often. By the way it was so easy to make! It was wonderful and my husband loved it. If I make it again I will add more spices of some sort to it. It did look and smell great though. |
