Just let a piece cool, it was really good. Even my picky child and husband liked it. I did put the bacon in the microwave first for about a min. than wrapped around the square. I also used seasoned bread crumbs.

This was a messy recipe but well worth it. Only thing we changed was that we used precooked bacon because I was concern the bacon would not be crisp enough for my son and his friends and used seasoned instead of plain breadcrumbs. My teenage son and his 2 friends said this one was the bomb Paula! (and that is great in this house lol) They where glad they let me make these over ordering pizza out :) Thanks!!

Add crisp bacon to the mac & cheese receipe rather than wrap it. Also add a few diced jalepenos to kick it up then deep fry.

Too Bland

The mac-n-cheese was a little too bland for me, it needed more salt or more kick of some sort. And the bacon was still a little too chewy for me after frying.

I loved this different approach to serving Mac & cheese. Bacon "pops" the flavor to this dish. Try it, it's fun to make. I would use a variey of high quality cheeses to suit your tastes if you get bored by cheddar. I could hear my arteries screamin' "Hell Yeah!" as I ate this wonderful dish. Paula, You Rock Girl!
