I buy a spiral ham and use the glaze and throw in the apples and pears just long enough to warm the ham and cook the fruit. I've been using this for years and it comes out GREAT every time. I can't find cane sticks here, so I just sprinkle the cane sugar on and inbetween as many layers as I can. AWESOME and easy!!

I love this ham and the instructions are easy to read and follow. This ham has the prefect balance of sweet and salty. And the ham comes out so moist. It is wonderful.

This ham is very good, I have made it twice and every time it is great. I used a roasting bag instead of swizzel sticks and twine to hold it together. The pears and apples are so good, it is all perfect for a large gathering.

Yummy

I am generally not a ham person, but I made this recipe for Easter and it was out of this world! Everyone agreed that it was the best ham they had ever tasted (the fruit was really good too.) Because of time limitations I made the glaze the night before (except the mustard which I added in the morning) and instead of tying it I cooked it in a bag, it was very quick and easy to make. The only problem I came across was finding the sugar cane swizzle sticks & syrup, but I did finally located them at AJ's fine foods. Try this recipe & you will throw any others away!

Delicious!!

I prepared this recipe for an Easter Celebration and was very pleased. It was easy enough for me to do, the ingredients easy to find and it made an excellent presentation. My family seemed impressed and asked for the recipe. Yahoo! The pears and apples are delicious. Thanks Emy

This recipe is amazing. I also could not find the swizzle sticks (so I used cane sugar) or the steen's syrup...but I found something called Lyle's, which is a pure cane syrup. This recipe is just so delicious!

This recipe looked like I was going to have trouble finding some of the ingredients and I was right. I could not find sugar cane syrup or whatever the syrup was in the recipe or the swizzle sticks. So I didn't use the sugar sticks, but I did get some pieces of sugar cane and added 1 cup of boiling water to it to make a syrup. It worked out really well and the ham was delicious. I did have trouble with the apples. I used granny smith but they were falling apart by the time the ham was done. The pears were perfect. But I have to say on the whole this was really a good recipe, and I experimented on it with company coming. It was really good.

I could not find sugarcane swizzle sticks or Steen's cane syrup at any of my local stores, so I omitted them and followed the rest of the recipe. BAM did this ham turn out awesome anyway!! My family loved it. There were no leftovers within 8 hours of Christmas dinner....

I have never had a ham better than this! The sweet of the glaze is the perfect offset of the saltiness of the ham! We will repeat this recipe often!
