Don't Don't Don't 12/27/2007 at 10:57pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Why didn't I trust my instincts? This looked horrid; vegies, especially the potatoes were mush.Thank god I made it for family with a shrimp scampi backup. Do not make this. Slow cooker scaloppini 10/01/2007 at 02:09pm User: Cindy from Chicago, IL User Rating: There is no way you can cook such a thin piece of chicken in a slow cooker for 4 hours. It needs to be cooked quickly in a pan as she did on the actual show. The vegetable conconction didn't taste good either. no bueno! 05/22/2008 at 11:01am User: Anonymous User Rating: Taste was too salty with the condensed soup and leek soup packet, consistancy was "goopy" and unappetizing, presentation was unapealing. Looked like cafeteria food. Skip the crock pot and this is really good 02/19/2008 at 12:39am User: SHANNON from Woodland Hills, CA User Rating: Based on what Sandra did on TV and the other reviewers comments I decided to skip the slow cooker/crock pot and do this on the stove. I followed the recipe added some wine and a little chicken broth after I pan fried the chicken scaloppini. This deglazed the pan and gave me some wonderful and light gravy. I made the frozen veggies in a pan with the remaining leek soup and cream of asparagas soup. These were good but could have used something to jazz them up a little. I also had a basmati rice pilaf that I had to go with the meal. Maybe this recipe was adapted for crock pots, which caused it to be terrible. Its definitely a keeper for the stove. I would make this again! pretty good 02/03/2008 at 11:45pm User: Kimberly from Gainesville, FL User Rating: After reading all the previous reviews, I put the slow cooker on high instead of low & that seemed to make a difference. Chicken came out nice and juicy and the veggie mix was good. very poor 02/03/2008 at 07:04pm User: CINDY from irmo, SC User Rating: This is not a very good dish, and I'll never make it again. The veggies all tasted "fake", nothing tasted fresh. |
