We make french toast often and serve it with a red current sauce but the addition of the sugar was wonderful and it did taste like a good jelly doughnut. It was nice not to have to leave home to go for a doughnut. This is a keeper.

Crazy.

It's nutty how much this tastes like a doughnut. I was out of milk and actually substituted a bit of sour cream and a bit of yoghurt. It was terrific. No sauce needed.

These were absolutely delicious. I didn't have white bread, so I substituted slices of french baguette. I also omitted the "full fat milk" for fat free half and half. Very moist. I'm not a big french toast fan, but this recipe looked tasty so I tried it. It was very impressive. I topped each slice off with some raspberry preserves. Highly recommend trying this recipe.

This french toast is to die for! The Strawberry sauce is as follows. Handful of strawberries in a blender. Add powder sugar to taste (1/4 C or less depending on how sweet your strawberries are). Add a little squeeze of fresh lemon, blend. I am going to use raspberries next time, because thats my husbands favorite.

Yummy - could have been yummier!

We loved the french toast but I couldn't remember the amounts of ingredients for the strawberry sauce after I watched the show. Suprised to not find the sauce with the recipe. Does anyone remember the recipe for the sauce???????????
