Perfect Biscotti! 12/21/2007 at 08:37am User: Shara from Orono, ME User Rating: Count on Emeril to get it just right! I made mine with hazelnuts and candied ginger, dipped half of them in white chocolate instead of dark, Delecious and very easy dough to work with. Make sure you knead it well and let it cool all the way before you slice it, so you get nice thin slices that don't crumble. Makes a great homemade gift! biscotti 12/21/2005 at 04:33pm User: Anonymous User Rating: OK, not great. almond extract would have tasted better than vanilla. Poorly written recipe 12/19/2007 at 03:38pm User: Anonymous User Rating: The taste of the Biscotti was not what I expect from the kitchen of Emeril. Someone should proof read a recipe before it hits the web. An inexperienced baker would have been confused or possibly lost the entire product of the labor involved with the recipe. It is necessary to use cocoa powder rather than flour to shape the dough prior to baking as the appearance of the baked biscotti will be ruined by the use of flour. It is also impossible to bake this chocolate brown dough to the described, " golden brown " that it should be after the second baking. Love it! 12/19/2004 at 11:50am User: KATE from Loudon, NH User Rating: I made 3 different biscotti recipes on the same day, and this was by far the best, easiest, and tastiest. Make sure the loaves are completely cooled before slicing. My favorite biscotti recipe 12/17/2005 at 11:19am User: Marcia from Savage, MN User Rating: This is the one I make for me. With the exception of chopping the nuts instead of leaving them whole (better slicing), macerating the cherries in a little port (about 2T to 1/4 c.), and sometimes omitting the chocolate coating, I love these biscotti. I make biscotti every holiday season, and these have been very popular as gifts, but they are also the ones I love to eat. Remember to slice them very thin and get them really crispy. Plus, they have the added advantage of being very low fat (unless you put chocolate chips in them). They are also very striking as gifts if you coat them in white chocolate instead of semisweet or bittersweet chocolate. Out of Sight! 12/12/2004 at 08:09pm User: MOLLIE from Salem, OR User Rating: If you are a biscotti lover this one is for you! Easy and delish! Wonderful!! 11/04/2007 at 06:42pm User: Patricia from Columbus, GA User Rating: Excellent recipe. I will fill holiday tins and give as presents. not great 10/15/2006 at 11:39am User: Anonymous User Rating: Others are better Cherry Chocolate Bliss 09/21/2005 at 05:47pm User: Michele from Roswell, GA User Rating: These are wonderful! They're easy, yet taste complex. I recommend baking the slices a little longer than indicated in recipe. I was concerned because they lack any fat or oil but it wasn't a problem: they're very satisfying. Yum! 09/04/2005 at 04:22pm User: LINDA from Clarkston, MI User Rating: My favorite biscotti recipe of all time. Great return on effort 04/17/2006 at 03:43pm User: Larry from West Linn, OR User Rating: Haven't found anybody that doesn't think these are the best thing since "sliced bread". Very good biscotti 04/12/2007 at 08:42pm User: DEBBIE from Livermore, CA User Rating: Very good biscotti, wonderful with the dried cherries. I was hoping for more chocolate flavor of the cookie itself, but I will still make these again. Actually, this deserves a 4 1/2 star rating. tasty and easy 04/12/2007 at 07:51pm User: Caroine from East Liverpool, OH User Rating: tasty easy perfect for an afternoon snack One of the best! 03/16/2006 at 02:38pm User: Tim from Chattanooga, TN User Rating: I've made several types of biscotti and this has to be one of my favorite. From the simple recipe to the tasty treats...this is a keeper! Excellent Recipe 03/10/2006 at 10:37pm User: Cristy from Titusville, FL User Rating: I made The Dried Cherry & Chocolate Biscotti for a Home Interiors Party. Everyone thought I bought the biscotti from a bakery. Now they all want the recipe. This recipe was very easy to make, the only time consuming part was melting the chocolate. Delicious 02/22/2006 at 12:47am User: CYNTHIA from San Ramon, CA User Rating: These were really good. I spread melted chocolate on one side and then drizzled them with a fine line of melted white chocolate. They lasted about 4 days before the chocolate began to bloom. yum 01/29/2006 at 04:59pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Great gift item |
