My Recipe Box Help
Recipe Box, Ratings & Reviews Beta Test 1. How do I use the recipe box? Simply click on the Add to My Recipe Box link found on every recipe. Please note the recipe box, ratings and reviews require confirmed registration. Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. Click on the confirmation URL found within. You may need to cut and paste the confirmation URL into your browser field: Be careful to copy the ENTIRE link into the browser field without any missing numbers or extra spaces. Important: You must respond to your confirmation email within 72 hours or your information will be deleted and you will need to re-register. Visitors using spam blockers -- especially EarthLink and AOL users -- may need to check their bulk or spam folders for confirmation emails. We recommend you add our email address to your address book to ensure receipt of your confirmation email. Please note that email addresses for the recipe box cannot be changed because they serve as your confirmed username. To continue receiving newsletters from us at a new email address, please visit the Change Email Address page of our Newsletter section. 2. How do I add a recipe to my recipe box? Next to the summary of any recipe, you'll see a block of links. Simply click on the link that reads Add to My Recipe Box. The next screen that appears will be your personal Recipe Box with that new recipe title added to it. If you reach the Login page, you must either sign in using your confirmed username and password if you're a registered user, or you'll need to register and confirm your membership for the recipe box. 3. How do I rate or review a recipe? In the recipe summary found on each recipe, select the button that reads Rate Recipes. Follow the directions on each screen to submit your responses. It is important that you give a reason for your rating, especially for low scores. You cannot change a rating or review once you've posted it. To read reviews, select the button that reads Reviews. Recipes in your personal recipe box will only reflect the rating that you've personally given that recipe; click on Read Reviews to read general opinion. 4. I forgot my password. What is it? Always remember to write down your passwords and store them somewhere safe. We can help you remember your password if you access the link that reads Forgot your password? on the Login page. Type in your email address (which doubles as your username) to retrieve your password from our database. 5. What is Remember Me? Remember Me memorizes your username and password so you won't need to log in every time you access your Recipe Box during a session visit at FoodNetwork.com. You must have cookies enabled on your browser for this feature to work. You can check your browser's settings in Internet Explorer by visiting Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced, and in Navigator/Communicator by visiting Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced. 6. How can I change my username or password? The email address you entered when you registered will serve as your permanent username, even if you change it for our newsletter. You can change your password by accessing the My Profile link found in the left column of My Recipe Box. 7. How long can I store recipes, reviews and ratings? You can store your recipes, reviews and ratings indefinitely. Please bear in mind that any limited-use recipes will need to be erased from your recipe box as they are removed from the site. Try to print out any limited-use recipes in advance. 8. How do I report inappropriate reviews? Send us an alert via our Community comment form. Please note that we do not accept recipe reviews through this form; only comments about the recipe box itself.
