Post in the comments your best cooking secret or kitchen tip:

"...To make a "cream" soup without the cream, add about 1/2 cup of rice to the broth and cook until really soft then puree with the rest of ingredients. I'm lactose intolerant and this let's me have that creamy texture without dairy."

WINNERS of "Yum-O! A Family Cookbook" by Rachael Ray

Post in the comments your best trick, approach, or recipe in helping your family eat healthier:

"Replace Ice cream with smoothies or slushies. My children love to eat fresh fruit and make fruit salads, but when the ice cream urge hits; ice, yogurt and either fresh or frozen fruit blended together really hit the spot while allowing me to control the fat and sugar content. Get a juicer and the sky is the limit! Fresh apple juice or a combination of fruits & Veggies juiced and blended with ice on a hot day can not be resisted!"

By David Uicker

"Whenever I babysit for my nephews and niece I have them create a "picture" on their plates with their food. We use broccoli or asparagus as trees, green beans as grass, cheese cubes as the sun or buildings, black olives as car tires, etc. Each child has his own unique "picture" and then we make up stories about what is happening in the picture. It really helps them to eat their veggies and it also invigorates their imaginations!"

"We planted a garden this spring with all sorts of good stuff in it, like green beans, carrots, tomatoes, corn, etc. My son already enjoys cooking, so eating our own vegetables out of our garden gets him really into it. My son loves Rachael Ray, so he would love trying out some of these recipes, and might use them in his own cooking show in the living room."
