Perfect French Pressed Coffee with Frothed Milk
Recipe courtesy Sara Moulton
Show:  Sara's Secrets
Episode:  All-American Breakfast
2 tablespoons coarse-ground French roast coffee for every 3/4 cup hot water used
Hot milk, preferably 2 percent, as needed
Equipment: French coffee press and a hand-pump milk frother

Remove the plunger from the coffee press and put the coffee in the bottom. Pour in the water, leaving about 1 inch of space at the top and stir with a small wooden spoon. Rest the plunger on top of the glass pot and let the coffee steep for about 4 to 6 minutes.
Meanwhile, pour the hot milk into the frother, insert the plunger, and pump until the milk is frothy.
Using slight pressure, slowly push the plunger down on the coffee press. Divide the coffee among cups and spoon over the frothed milk. Serve immediately.
