Everyone said they burnt theirs so I kept an eye on them. Instead of making my own crust I used frozen crust. Because it was late and I really wanted to make apple pie. And I just had it from another recipe. But if you going to use 2 crusts you should use all the apples called. Because I used 2 or 1 less and yah. I also used my peeler and corer, that helped a lot.

I am an experienced baker and I followed this recipe to the letter. The pie was on it's way to burning 3/4 of the way through the bake time. I pulled it out of the oven with 15 minutes left on the timer. It tasted pretty good, but sure didn't look as nice as the photo. I'll bake it at 350 degrees next time.

why did my pie burn?? this is the first time to make a pie, I was so excited that it looked so pretty before I baked it, then it totally burnt, I then turned it down to 375 for the last 20 minutes but it was too late. It may still taste good but it doesn't look good. :(

This is truly the best pie I have ever made and eatten! The crust is flakey, and the perfect blend of sweet and savory, the filling comes out at the perfect texture. My only complaint is that my family wants me to make one every weekend! Paula, you've out done yourself once again!
