This was the best chocolate fondue I have ever made! This will be our go to recipe from now on. I used 3 tablespoons of seedless raspberry preserves in place of the liqueur.

I don't rate recipes very often, but this was so easy and so good. Made it for New Year's Eve and served it with strawberries and pound cake. I just broke up a large bar of Trader Joes dark Belgian chocolate, added the cream and 1/2 cup of TJ salted caramel sauce and simmered in a double boiler over low heat. Just left out the liquer because I knew my kids would complain about it. It came out perfectly smooth and luscious tasting. If you are worried about the caramel taste( as I was - don't be. It just adds a saltiness and smoothness. Still tastes deep chocolatey. Fail proof.

This is one of my go-to recipes! Just wanted to mention if you are counting calories, you can use semisweet or dark chocolate, and substitute 1/2 cup nonfat half and half for the whipping cream, and omit the caramel sauce. I was able to enjoy a generous serving of this with all sorts of fruits and candies without going over my calorie allowance for the day :

This is the best chocolate fondue! We all love it - we've dipped all kinds of fruit, marshmallows, poundcake and angel food cake in it!

OMG!! This is the best fondue recipe I've EVER had. I only made half of the recipe because it was just for four of us, and every bit of it was eaten. We used angel food cake, strawberries, bananas, and petite panniers. The chocolate was the big bar of milk chocolate from Trader Joes. So good!
