Very good but be careful with the lime. If you're using lime juice from the bottle instead of fresh squeezed, half the amount to taste.

I was looking for a super simple, basic pico de gallo recipe to add to some chicken quesadillas and this worked out great! It's a great base recipe that can easily be customized to taste.

This is definately not the best pico de gallo, but its not horrible either. It might have been good with half a lime, but two??? I couldnt even taste the tomatoes.

Super and simple. For a change, try serrano peppers in place of the jalapenos, and you can't use to much cilantro!

perfect! I've tried a few recipes...this one pretty much hits it right on the head (and you can adjust, as others have said. What I did differently: mixed red and white onions, used canned jalapenos, used frozen cilantro cubes (that I forgot I had..., and tossed everything in the food processor, so it was chunky, but not so much so. Hubby and son have pretty much devoured the first go-round.

This is a great guide for making pico to go with your Mexican dishes or just with chips and guac. Just remember its not something you have to follow very closely. Taste as you go! It is really the ripeness/quality of produce and personal taste that should dictate the amounts - if you like it spicy/salty/tart then adjust.

Great recipe, but when shopping for produce, amounts like 1 1/2 cups chopped tomatoes or 1 tablespoon chopped jalape?o are not very helpful. If he'd given weight or terms like 1/2 a jalepe?o, the recipe would have been much easier to shop for.

I've tried several different receipes and this one is the best. My family really loves this one, even my very picky 13yo daughter will eat this one.
Fix for overly strong Red Onion:
Every now and then you get a red onion that is too strong. I soak the chopped red onion in 2 tablespoons of white viniger for 15-20 minutes and then rinsed them with cold water before adding them to the receipe.
