This is the best recipe for fixing beef brisket that I have ever tried. It even beats all the bbq recipes that I have slaved over.
    Thank you Ellie

I omitted the raisins and increased the brown sugar a little, and I only wish I had a BIGGER cut of meat... this was absolutely INCREDIBLE... and EASY. I shared some with our neighbor and EVERYONE raved about it. Can't wait to make it again and again!

I made this recipe last weekend not knowing if my husband and daughter would like it because they are soooo picky. They loved it so much they ate the rest of it the next night and I didn't even get a second helping. It was really easy to make. I've made alot of recipes from Ellie's book and they have all been good. I can't wait for a second book.

I had never made a brisket before, except for corned beef. This recipe is so easy, takes a few minutes to throw everything together with ingredients already in your pantry. I have made this twice now and my family devoured it. The aroma is to die for. I found that there was more than enough sauce, I had some leftover, it was perfect. This would be a great meal to make and bring to someone as a thank you or for new parents. Thank you again, Ellie! I have made dozens of your recipes and love them all!!!!

Lo hice tal cual dice la receta y resulto fantastico, solo omiti las pasas (a mi marido no le gustan... increible sabor y la carne blandisima. Estuvo listo a las 2 horas y media.

This recipe is easy to make and very tasty. I added half a bottle of lager when making the sauce - it was a great addition.

I made this in the crock pot. I've never done brisket before, but I thought it was really tender and nice. My husband and I agreed that we should try this again, but with a different sauce.

Easy to prepare, wonderful flavor. I used dried apricots instead of raisons. The whole family loved it.
