I made this for a dinner party and the mushrooms were a big hit! I used beef tenderloin instead of pork and it was great. The polenta cakes were just ok. It's a keeper just for the mushrooms alone.

The smell of the mushrooms cooking for so long makes your family drool for hours! I don't even like eating mushrooms but the sauce is excellent and my family loved the mushrooms. this was the most moist tenderloin I've ever made. you could season the pork before dredging in the flour and I think that would work better. I added a little flour/water mixture at the end to the mushroom sauce to thicken it up. served it with mashed potato gratin and maple glazed carrots instead of polenta.

This is a 5 star recipe that you would pay through the nose for at a restaurant. I used the rosemary polenta recipe from Ina Garten and it was the perfect complement to the ragu and tenderloin. I will definitely make this again. I also served with a spinach salad with a dijon vinaigrette which also went well. Pair this with a great red wine and a creamy dessert and you have a wow menu.

Made it 4 times. My inlaws loved it! Make sure no-salt ingredients are used as the concentration causes it to be very saline. Sliced mushrooms work fine. Rice is a good substitute for polenta cakes if time is limited.

Made this last night and it was delicous! DH LOVED it. The mushrooms are to die for. It did take two of us in the end to finish it all up but well worth it! Everyone at my house voted it as a "to do again"!

My mom emailed this recipe to me a while ago and it has now become a family favorite! Not one person who I have served it to has had nothing less than raving reviews! I would recomend it to anyone. One thing that I like to do as well is have chunky mashed potatoes instead of the polenta cakes. they are great with the mushrooms!

This is a wonderful recipe. I made it in no time and the tenderloin is just that, tender. The mushroom sauce is great as well. I must admit that I did not have time to simmer the sauce as long as the recipe recommends so I sped it up just a little bit and it's great. This recipe has become one of my favs!
