The cake was a flop. WE knew better than to beat the flour into the egg whites, but we decided to follow the recipe anyway and now we have a half risen cake. We are still waiting for it to cool on the bottle, I hope we can eat it anyway.

In the recipe for the Lemon Curd part, I cannot find out what to do with the zest of the lemons I zested. No where does it say to add it to the lemon juice or whatever. Please help me if you know. I am trying to make a large amount for a Club function and looking for a good Lemon Curd recipe. Thanks, Donna

I hard time with the boiled frosting. I thought it tasted funny, like you could taste the salt or tartar. But without it.... It was awesome. The cake was perfect for angel food, and I could have eaten the lemon curd alone. It is very tart and with berries, there were just so many flavors. My whole family, including my 5 and 7year olds, loved it. I used regular whipped cream to replace the frosting.

This is a fantastic recipe and was a hit at my last party. If you're planning on using it at a party, I'd reccomend making 2 or 3 because this cake goes FAST!
