This recipe is very good, the only thing lacking was some heat but that was remedied with a dash of cayenne. I suggest using yellow, red or orange bell peppers as an alternative to green peppers (which, alas, i can not eat. My wife is not a huge fan of shrimp/tomato combinations but loved this and had at least two helpings !

Paula seems to believe that anything with a little red pepper in it is "creole." This was very good, but it is not shrimp creole.

I added some cayenne and some hot sauce, and it was a hit! I used the immersion blender before adding the shrimp, therefore I didn't need to add the cornstarch.

I surprised my family tonight by making this dish for Ash Wednesday. Needless to say, there was none left. Simply delish. I spiced it up a bit more by adding a 1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper. I will be making this again. Thanks so much Paula!

I thought this creole recipe was GREAT!! I don't have one of those fancy tostonera, but I had frozen plantains and I just fried them in a little oil and season them after then ate them with the shrimp creole and a salad on the side it tasted even better then some of the restaurants I've been to!!! Even my picky 9 and 11 year old loved it!! Way to go Paula keep up the good work!

My husband loved this recipe, the tostones is really hard to make if you don't have a tostonera, but i recomend this recipe to everybody, its so easy and flavorful.
