Amazing! I made this on Christmas morning for my family. If you want to try something instead of maple syrup, this is the recipe! Super easy, yet taste like you did so much more. I use Emeril Belgium waffle recipe & this on the top. Just made it a 2nd time this morning- this will be my go-to for waffles from now on- thank you Tyler :

This is my go-to recipe for the compote and the whipped cream. They work great with whatever waffle recipe you use, pancakes, crepes, french toast, or ice cream. I've substituted strawberries and raspberries as well, all are delicious.

I gave this recipe to my sons to prepare for mother's day and they were so excited that they were able to make something for me for a change. Thanks, Tyler, for thinking outside the "box"...pardon the pun. I will definitley use the blueberry syrup recipe again. It was delicious.

This one star grading is for the reviewers, not the recipe. This was clealy intended for people who are a little low on the skill level. It seems some of you where insulted by the simplicity. LIghten up!

I'm looking for a recipe to make waffles, not an instruction to use a mix!

Delicious, too! We use this syrup recipe over pancakes, on angel food cake, on ice cream . . I even put a bit into a glass of Prosecco for a blueberry Bellini. It was great!

Most of the reviews are giving Tyler a hard time because it says get a box of waffle mix and follow directions..... I would be disappointed too had I not LOOKED at the title of the show, Food 911.... The episode is "Mom's Day Off" and he's assuming that for once (or rare occasion the husband is going to cook. From a husband and father who loves to cook for his family, I was a little disappointed in not having a better recipe....but, give him a break and find the recipe from another chef.....try cooking one of his other fantastic breakfast recipe's and spend time with the family. I can only assume this may have been a motive for trying to make it easy and quick for the husband (dad. So, cook some waffles or pancakes, lets spend more time with our family and enjoy the love of doing for others. I assume we're all doing that because we're looking for recipes on the web. Good luck and good tasting. John

omg. what is the point of telling the viewers to use a boxed mix for waffles when the title of the recipe is BELGIAN WAFFLES! it is not that hard AT ALL to mix together some flour with ingrediants to make waffles!! tyler should know better than that!!!!

I would think the Tyler would have his own waffle mix and not use a store bought. Waffle mix's are fairly easy to mix up. This recipe should not even be on here.
