These were too cheesy and rich for me. I overbaked them a little, but I don't think they were my style anyway. Sweet fruit scones are tastier.

I made these for the first time about a year ago and took them to a family Easter brunch. Since then my Mom has requested that I make them for every family get together and then some! They are so very good!!

I have been looking at this recipe for days - daunted because baking and I are not necessarily friends. I measured all the ingredients out on Monday, decided I was too afraid yesterday but took the plunge today and finally made them.

I used a pastry cutter instead of a Kitchen Aid (sigh - maybe one day and threw in some chives since I did not have enough dill. I also managed to cut 28 triangles instead of the 16 the recipe said it yielded but I just baked them for about 15 minutes instead of the 20 the recipe called for.

They came out perfect. I will add more seasoning next time - the cheddar comes through but the herbs are a bit dull.

Wow - these were beyond good. I used milk instead of cream, no parchment paper, and scallions instead of dill, and they were out of this world! would be great with basil too. i also added some parmesian and pepper to the mix. can't say enough about them!

I am not really a dill fan and I also am known for really mixing up the recipe ingredients. I made these scones with bacon, green onion and asiago cheese. They were incredible! Light and savory. Love the recipe for the dough!!! Very easy and easy to work with. It is suppose to be sticky but once you put it on the floured surface it becomes easier to work with. They held the scone shape very well. I will definitely make these again and keep changing up the ingredients that I add.

OMG for whatever reason I bought chives instead of dill. Because I had no time to run back to the store, I chopped the chives and used them. Wow! The scones still turned out great! Moist, light and perfect! Thanks so much for a great recipe. Now I have two different scone recipes.

These may have turned out too salty if you used salted butter, instead of the unsalted butter which the recipe called for.

In addition, you may want to brush up on your homophones.

These are delicious. I made them with a bean soup and my family complimented me on dinner!! That doesn't happen very often. Ina has a great tip about making sure the butter is cold to ensure the fluffiest scones. I love watching her cook.
