I really enjoyed this recipe. Tons of ways to alter it, but as is was great. I will experiment with slight changes next time just for fun.

There is a local restaurant I frequent that has delicious mole. I wouldn't say this is equal to it because that is their specialty, but I would say it is delicious and will stifle my cravings in between visits to the restaurant. Also, mole comes in many forms and of them this type (chocolate, cinnamon, adobo is the kind that suits my tastes the best. This was fairly simple to make and the flavors were developed. I'm glad to have a simple mole recipe for home! We will definitely make this one again.

For the mole purists - bless you for putting in the hours. I made this tonight and can't believe I got something as good as the mole burritos I used to buy at the little shop in San Ramon, ca. I added a 1/2 cup of Goya Sazon sauce I had on hand and about 50% more dark cocoa and peanut butter. Used immersion blender. Served with rice, black beans and avocado/orange salsa with cilantro. My DH couldn't believe I made it! Served over a rotisserie chicken breast and froze the rest for two more meals for two.

I'm a big fan of Mole! But I didn't make it very often because of the amount of oil and other unknown ingredients from the jar. This recipe was very healthy and easy. I did use more peppers. Its a keeper!

Super tasty, but we find it better the next day when the flavors meld.

Thanks Ingrid for a wonderful chocolate mole recipe. My husband loves chocolate mole and orders it every time we eat at a Mexican restaurant. We can now save some money and it is so quick and easy to prepare. I made a few alterations. They are: (1 I had a cooked turkey breast in the refrigerator that I shredded for the rotisserie chicken. (2My husband is allergic to peanut butter so I used almond butter. We always have the Dagoba xochoclat hot chocolate mix which I substituted for the unsweetened chocolate and then reduced the raisins to 1/2 cup. Love your show.

I love mole, but making it is always a royal pain. I don't like the store bought ones much, they are always gritty. Only good mexican joints can produce great mole, so it was a pleasant surprise when I made this one. Very good! I didn't use the peanut garnish which seemed tacky, but a sprinkle of sesame seeds was nice. A keeper!

Saw the program which featured this recipe & immediately wanted to try it! My husband is a "Mole Snob" and absolutely hates any mole from cans, jars or boxes you can buy in a supermarket & he really liked this one! While I'll admit it wasn't "the best he's ever tasted" he said it was really good! I enjoyed it too! And for him to say we could make this again means it was GOOD! I recommend you alll to try it out!
