This bread for chocoholics, absolutely chocolatty. So easy and just perfect for me and my husband. I will make it again and will NOT change anything of this recipe!

I never knew it was so easy to make any kind of bread. This was delicious and easy. Will use less chocolate chips the next time, but will add white raisins and crushed cranberries, how good is that?? Can't wait to try that, didn't have those extra items on hand when I made this, only the chips. Excellent!!!

very very good! I just finshed making this and its still warm! I did use the other reviewers steps and did the chips after the rising and kneaded it in before the loaf pan. Perfect with or without butter!

A great bread recipe, but a ridiculous amount of chocolate chips - I would use less next time.

I am an avid bread maker, and this recipe was a bother to knead and form into a loaf after I had the chips in the dough. It appears that the warmth the dough receives while rising heats the chips and essentially melts them, so that when you knead the dough into a loaf, the chips melt and smudge and mix into the dough. That's not what you want. I advise adding the chips by folding/kneading them in when forming dough into a loaf. That way, the chips don't heat while the dough rises, and you won't have to chill the dough so that the chips solidify to a point where you can work with the dough. Otherwise, very TASTY bread... a dessert really, and a great treat at the end of the day when the kids are finally asleep.

My boyfriend and I made this bread the other day, and I guess it's not a good idea to bake this when it's hot because the chocolate melted while the dough was still mixing. The result was a sort of chocolate/brownie bread. It still tasted very good...it just didn't look anything like the picture.
